An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
*** Edit: I recently wanted to change a thermostat, and they sent a guy out to do it. Before doing it, he explained why the existing thermostat was so important and performed a lot more functions that the new one the alarm company wanted to install. He would have been happy to do the job if I wanted, but after explaining to me the difference, he left with a handshake and a smile, and I didn't do something stupid.
