Dan Mac Plumbing & Drain Service Ltd

After a basement sewer backup we really needed to fix the problem with our drains and make sure the issue was solved so we wouldn't have to replace the basement floor again! The folks at DanMac determined that there was sediment in our building trap. (The first fellow even offered to give me a copy of the video he made of the camera's search through the drains! And he also assessed and repaired a leaky faucet in my bathroom too).

The crew came last week and dug down more than seven feet to replace the old clay pipe which was about 90% blocked. They were on time, polite, and cleaned up everything before leaving. And now I have peace of mind too. I heartily recommend their work.

I have dealt with DanMac 3 times. They are always polite and punctual. The plumbers are very knowledgeable. I appreciate the patience shown by Vivian. She is the voice on the phone. She does the booking and answers all the questions in a very professional manner. I recommend them very highly.

Once again, Dan Mac came to the rescue I have a small apartment buliding circa 1922.....the water decided to take a detour from the 3rd to 2nd floor pipes...via the ceiling...Patrick was wonderful! He fixed the pipes. I know that they will come and help to solve my plumbing problems when I call.

DanMac was the plumbing company of choice that was recommended by our waterproofing company. We used them to install a sump pump and back water valve. They dealt with the city inspectors and provided the info we needed to get a credit back from the City of Toronto for the sump pump installation. We did have to delay submitting the info for the sump pump program because Stewart had gone on vacation and the other person handling the workload seemed a bit overwhelmed, but things were fine in the end. Their prices seemed fair. They worked quietly and we had minimal interaction with them, but their work was good. The only disappointment is that we had Stewart out to quote on rough-in work for a bathroom and although he came by quickly, they weren't able to provide a quote or do the work because they were too busy to take it on. We ended up going with another company instead.

I had various plumbing issues in the past year and went through 3 plumbing companies and was not happy with anyone of them. Finally found DanMac and I am over the moon happy with their service. Stewart and his crew William and Vasyl were very professional and helpful, went above and beyond to investigate the source of the problem. I will never use another plumbing company again.

I hired DanMac to install an entirely new plumbing system (drains, supply, etc.) in the fall of 2012. The plumber they assigned, Andrew, did a first rate job. The job was done on time and at the cost quoted in their on estimate (which was significantly better than other quotes I received). I would highly recommend using this company.

Our bathtub on the 2nd level started leaking and the water dripped through the ceiling onto the main floor. We called Dan Mac plumbing and they were prompt and on time.The guy who came over also pointed out other flaws with the plumbing done by the previous owners. We had taken a quote from another highly rated plumbing company on home stars, and the guy who came over told us it would cost us ~500$ to just "figure out" what is wrong.
The service provided by Dan Mac was very good, and this is the first time I have seen someone really clean up the place after the work is done. The plumber had to cut through our ceiling and you wouldn't say that looking at the floor on the main level at the end of the day. I would happily recommend DanMac plumbing to anyone.

DanMac plumbing was selected by the restorer who rebuilt my basement after a flood 4 years ago. DanMac did a great job then, and more importantly we have yet to experience any issues with their work. They replaced all of the previous owner DIY plumbing for the shower, vanity and bathroom, as well as installed the shower pan, toilet and vanity. At the same time I also used DanMac to install a new radiator, and again was very satisfied.

My only reason for lowering the recommendation rating, is that I asked for a quote for my upstairs bathroom (for tub removal/replace and radiator removal/reinstall), and the quote came in twice as much as the other quotes I received. I was surprised at this, as they were quite reasonable with the additional work I added to the basement restoration.

We were having the basement floor redone so we had Dan-Mac come in and replace all the old clay pipes with PVC. They were on time, on budget and we have not had any issues. The next time we need plumbing work done, we'll call them for sure.

We've used Dan Mac many times over the past two years as we've done several reno projects on our house. Their work on our most recent project did not disappoint. From the great customer service during the quote and booking process, to the professional, helpful plubmers who come do the work, Dan Mac get's a 10 from us. I can't say if they are the cheapest, but the price has always seemed reasonable and, to be honest, I don't care because the great service and quality of work makes the price more than worth it. Of the different trades and workers I've dealt with during our renos, I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly - but Dan Mac would be "the best". Keep up the great work!
