Custom Maids

I've used Custom Maids since ... 2002-ish, for an apartment downtown, then a home in Scarborough, and now for a couple of years in Etobicoke. At each home I was established with an cleaning lady ... so I've had 3 different cleaning ladies in 13 years. To date all my experiences have been excellent. The set up at this company has allowed me to establish a personal connection with each of the folks doing the work and have peace-of-mind. No worries about theft or covered-up breakages or any of the other common worries about having a company like this invited into your personal space. Scheduling has been very accurate. There have been a few instances where they've asked for variances, but these have been well-communicated and agreed to in advance. To sum it up - I've worked with them for 13+ years in 3 locations and have been consistently satisfied and impressed. Really great people. Recommended.

Custom Maids has been with me since 2005 and I gave them a key on day one. In the 10 years since then, I have never met the cleaning lady who cleans my home. In fact, I have never even THOUGHT about the issue of cleaning for a decade. Now there's a recommendation for you.

We originally started using Custom Maids when it became clear that my roommates and I weren't going to get coordinated enough to clean our flat by ourselves. The first cleaning lady they sent us solved our problem admirably, leaving our disastrous place spotless and organized very time she visited. 2 years later we got a new cleaner named Lupe. She was with us for 3 years and proved to be just as good as our first lady. What we loved about both these ladies was that they were so fun, upbeat and positive, as you would expect from anyone who takes pride in their work and truly enjoys it. I can honestly say that in 5 years, we never had a single issue with Custom Maids. They were highly reliable, professional, organized, and super-efficient, and their rates were always reasonable. We've recently given up our flat and ended our service as the roommates have been dispersed across Canada - but I highly recommend Custom Maids to anyone desiring to live in a spotless environment, and I will be happily resume service with them if ever I return to Toronto. Definitely recommended.

I have been living in Toronto all my adult life and have never come across a reliable and satisfactory cleaning service as Custom Maids. And believe me, I have seen many maids and cleaning services. I am a single father who raised a child with domestic help since 1982. We live in a 5-level townhouse uptown Toronto. Dorothy of Custom Maids has been performing house cleaning services at my home for about 15 years. She is a responsible individual who does not need supervision. She is punctual, courteous and very professional in her cleaning duties. I can totally trust her. Every time she comes to our house is like an aunt comes to visit. The home is always left in outstanding condition, and all of the furniture, fixtures, paintings and tapestries are treated with care. Thank you, Dorothy.

This is my first time (and last) using this service. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone told me that the lady would arrive at 1:00 p.m. He also advised that since she was taking public transit she may be delayed and/or if she had an issue finding the location she would call me directly. By 1:38 I had not received a call and shortly thereafter she showed up. I left her to do her job and when I came back the first thing I noticed was that there was dirt still on the front door mat. Walking on the parquet floors, I could feel debris under my feet. I have allergies, so no carpets. I had brought someone home with me and she made comments about feeling debris under her bare feet as well. This caused me to check out other parts of the apartment. The computer desk was not touched at all (I wiped and came up with a whole lot of dust). Under my dresser was not swept. The dresser itself was cleaned but the mirror was not touched. The kitchen floor was not touched. The toilet was not cleaned (tub and sink were cleaned).

I have been using Custom Maids for a few years now. The service is excellent, and it is so nice to come home to a clean and fresh smelling house! We both work very long hours and don't feel like cleaning. The service is reliable, if you need to change the date of your cleaning they suggest possible alternatives, and they can come at different times for a "special" cleaning (after or before a party, for example). Payment is done automatically, so I don't need to pay the cleaner each time. And if something was not getting cleaned, I contacted the office and they made sure it got done next time. Very good company, we are very pleased.

Custom Maids is fantastic! They have great customer service; helping me find a maid in a pinch! What makes them standout for me is their attention to detail (washing baseboards, removing marks off the walls, etc). This made a huge difference and my apartment sparkled afterwards. I also loved the checklist they left behind with everything they accomplished and cleaning supplies I need to restock. So well organized! I would recommend them to anyone who needs a thorough cleaning and great customer service!

I have been using Custom Maids for over 10 years. Paul has been with me from the beginning and always does an excellent job. In fact we wont use anyone but him. If there comes a time when he is ill and can't make it and the office offers another person in his place, we will just reschedule for when he feels better. Paul does a fantastic job and we appreciate all his hard work. We would recommend the service to all. Very trustworthy and professional.
