Chic Decor

Margarida is an extremely knowledgable and comprehensive designer. First she got to know my husband and I before she started helping us choose things for our new home. She then established the style we mutally liked. Before the house was built Margarida came to the Decor Centre of our new builder with us helping us choose important structural changes to the house and navigated us through all the builders options and where we would get the most 'bang for the buck'. We would have never thought of many of her ideas and we are thrilled we listened to her. Even the builder was impressed with some of her structural decisions. Then the fun began, she helped us choose custom hard wood flooring, marble flooring with mosaics she designed especially for us, and kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. The end result....beautiful and even better than my husband and I envisioned. I highly recommend her, especially for new home owners who want to start off right!!

Chic Decor did an outstanding job choosing the colours for my house. I loved the way Margarida listened to what I wanted the house to "feel" like. She gave me some ideas on how to make the rooms blend, and told me about a couple stores that carry what I was looking for. Her eye and her knowledge for what my house needed was indepensable. I completely trusted her opinion and my friends and neighbours have been giving me compliments ever since. If I ever move again, I would definately have Chic Decor decorate my new house.

Family Room Redesign involving a custom constructed sectional - Margarida has an amazing talent and eye for colour, great ideas and is on top of current trends. She is very professional and thorough. A key element to her success is a well chosen team of sewers and upholsterers who provide quality product, workmanship and excellent customer service - just like Margarida. Everything was delivered on time and pre -inspected by Margarida. She also followed up at the house to make sure everything was satisfactory.

After spending time getting to know what our needs and budget were, Margarita spent time talking to our son about what things HE liked. After that, she took the time to research the three things that he liked and created board designs to highlight each design so we could see the colours, fabrics, and layouts. He was so excited to see what ideas, colors and furniture she had for his room. He felt included in the process, and it meant a lot to all of us. She also helped to inform us that the bunk beds we thought we wanted were not safe because of the age of our son. She created a room that was tasteful, that would transition well as our son aged, and stayed within the budget we outlined. She was a tremendous help and we were all very lucky to have found her.

Margarida has a real talent to get a room to look the way you want by pulling together key decorating elements, such as color, texture, etc., in the right proportion and scale. I am very happy with her colour choices and finishes in my new kitchen.

We hired Margarida from Chic Decor to design and manage a complete kitchen and family room renovation. This was a large project involving widening a doorway, replacing a window and some doors, and even replacing an entire fireplace and mantle. It also included installation of cupboards and an island in a newly designed kitchen. Margarida suggested the window treatments, new furniture, as well as the paint color on all walls on the main floor and upstairs. She was very knowledgable, helpful and effective in pulling everything together to make our home flow from one room to another. We are 100% satisfied with doing business with Chic Decor. We never really enjoyed our home before our renovations but now we thoroughly enjoy coming home and opening the door to our new interior!

Chic Decor was hired to help with color choices for the main floor of our house. We were extremely pleased with all color choices made! Margarida helped us to select upholstery for the dining rooom chairs, new livingroom chairs and drapery for both dining and living rooms.Upholstery material was also chosen for a bench for the front hall which Margarida designed.We have been completely satisfied with all work completed with Chic Decor! We enjoy our new rooms!
