Bruce Mac Laren Visionary Landscapes

Bruce had excellent design ideas for creating a welcoming entrance to our home. His design has not only increased the curb appeal of our home, it enhanced our enjoyment of a space that hadn't been usable. We love sitting on our front porch! His design and masonry skills are excellent.

Bruce and his awesome crew of hard workers were very successful in completing a very difficult project which involved the construction of a water fall, a raised stone patio, a few retaining walls and beautiful custom stone masonry. He is truly gifted for the work that he does and he is worth every penny!!! His employees were all very hardworking, skilled and overall gentlemen!! They became like Family and it was hard saying goodbye when they finished. Thank you Bruce Maclaren for creating our backyard pool oasis... Dream come true!!!!!

Bruce and his team did an amazing job on our property. They built a beautiful retaining wall, walkway and driveway. We have received many compliments, and couldn't be happier with the outcome!

Bruce Maclaren has a real talent and vision for designing with custom rocks and in our case has built both a beautiful natural looking rock waterfall and has completed a large customized rock deck with exquisite curves and attention to detail. Bruce also redesigned our front porch and driveway. We had several quotes from other potential vendors but none of their design plans came close to what Bruce designed. He has a vision for truly unique landscapes. Bruce will return every phone call and he cares completely about his work and customer service.

Jennifer and I met with many potential landscapers but none had the artistic ability to use our existing landscape and not overpower it. Great final result. LOTS of compliments from passers by.

All I can say is WOW,Bruce MacLaren and visionary landscaping made my backyard in a Oasis of epic proportion.Bruce was on site daily making sure everything went as planned and he even made his workers tear down a wall they spent the day on because it wasn't to his standard where other landscapers would have let it pass.Visionary Landscaping surpassed my expectations in every way ,I would highly recommend Visionary Landscaping for any size of job you are planning ,I have used Bruce for several jobs now and every time he surprises me with outstanding work ,thanks Bruce great job

After interviewing several landscapers in 2006 we hired Visionary Landscapes. By the time we realized we were in for trouble they had torn up too much of our two acre property for someone else to come in and take over. My wife literally project managed the entire job. Workers were lax and came and went at will, deadlines were never met, we suspect money we paid was spent on other projects. This company took on too many big projects and was spread too thin. After the work was finished (a 6-7 month job in 19 months), we spent this summer, 2008, repairing stonework that literally fell apart because of poorly mixed grout and replacing trees and shrubbery that were planted incorrectly. We also had to hire another company to make repairs to the new gunite pool. Bruce Maclaren's intentions and visions are good; however, he doesn't have the business sense or the labour force required to ensure the quality of the finished product. Buyer beware...the pictures are beautiful but the frustration and stress involved in getting to that point is huge. Also, he maintains that he cannot stand behind his warranties because he has no money. We wouldn't use him to make any further repairs after he "fixed" our stone front porch three times and it fell apart yet again.
