Broughton Appliance Service

I called Broughton when my dryer stopped working. We booked an appointed for the next day and they we very prompt. The young man that did the repair said that he would need to order a part and then come back. Very pleased how fast the service was from beginning to finish.

We have a flattop stove that needed a switch replaced and we called this appliance company as they had one of the bigger ad's in Yellow Pages. They came out checked out the problem and quoted us it would take 30 minutes of labour at $1 a minute + $52 service call + $118 for the part bringing the cost of the repair to $200.
When the repairman came back 4 weeks later with the part (different repairman than who quoted the job), he was rude and wouldnt supply his name to my wife who was home alone with 2 young children under the age of 3. When he finished hooking the part up he came up with a price of $259 + taxes as he said "It took longer than what was quoted and the guy who quoted didnt know what he was quoting", when my wife refused to pay the higher price, he said "I dont need this *&*& today" and stormed out of the house slamming the door waking our 7 month old. REAL PROFESSIONAL

He came back 15 minutes later with another person who said his name was Don (claimed to be the owner) and then he ripped the part out of the stove and whice took 13 minutes, funny how putting it in took almost an hour but taking it out took 13 minutes, umm trying to rip off customer?

When the women called back the next day she didnt believe anything i said and disputed everything told to her, so i had to hang up as she wouldnt listen.

All i can say is STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!
