Kitchen Appliances & Washer/Dryer

NEVER PURCHASE FROM THE BRICK. I have been dealing with the Brick now for 6 weeks trying to receive my order. It is the worse customer service I have ever had! They all mislead you. Every. Single. Time. Each person you deal with will tell you something different and send you on a goose chase then deny everything they said in the first place! I was promised a $70 credit to my Visa for my trouble so when I called back to give them my credit card info they said they have no record! They would not transfer me to a supervisor, they would do nothing. I promise you, if you ever shop with the Brick you will live to regret it.

Dining table

Horrible customer service. Table not ready for pick up when it was supposed to be. No call from store to advise it was not ready. No call back when called to follow up. Run around from staff. 1st and last time buying from The brick.

Brick Stores Service

Worst customer service out there.
But a bed in April for delivery in June (moving day) No sign of them. Went to complain...... finally had to take the floor sample in NOVEMBER !!!! They did not want to sell their floor sample - not their politic. We argued that they did not have the bed in stock since April so what's the use ? Everytime you complain they remove 50$ from your invoice.... They must give away alot of product..... but I can afford to pay mine so no more Brick for us.

The Brick Furniture

Worst service ever and total rip off. Bought plush mattress, came in to exchange it to a firm. noticed price dropped by 60%. asked if they do price match, was told only 30 days to use that offer. but the sign in front of the bed says 90 days. went online, also says 90 days for a mattress. Sales man finally okayed it. We proceed to pick a firm mattress, and he shakes our hand and waves goodbye saying he took care of it no worries. so my husband asks me, so how much is he crediting back to us? turns out he had no intention of price matching and told my husband that he chose a reselection instead. my husband told him 'well in that case just price match it because I will come back tomorrow and get my reselection". thank god for that, because the salesman had planned his action way ahead of us. He said he would credit us in 24 hours. waited 3 days still no money back. Called customer service, guess what? they told us, sorry 30 days price match ! are you for real? even their website says 90 days on mattresses. they told us anyways only the sales man can help us, which proves the point how commission based they are. he has to approve any changes if it is going to afffet his commission in any way. what a joke. When our mattress arrives we have several options, a) keep both and refuse to return the second one until they refund the difference, b) don't pay the bill at all c) go back to the store and insist you came in 2 weeks earlier to make the 30 day cut off. You basically have to play the game their way or you are left with no options. On the top of everything the floor model of the firm mattress we wanted also had 2 ditches, and when I asked him why that is, he said it is a defective mattress, but it WOULD be covered under warranty, since I know how those warranties work, I asked him how it will work if the ditches must be 1.5 inches deep, and how they can offer a warranty if you can never use it? he just laughed at me, enough said! DO NOT SHOP AT THE BRICK. !!! is the only advice I can give you, they are rude, arrogant, and you may actually thing you were hallucinating but they are laughing in your face. only a special type of species can work here. :(

Bad bad

The sales person kept saying how good the mattress cover is and we bought two. When we brought it home, opened one realized it creates a lot of noise which effects sleep( wgich they declaim is the best in the store) We attempted to return the UNOPENED one the next day and they refuse! I then learned the staff has no salary and they all work on commission, which rand if they don't sell anything they won't get paid. The system is very unhealthy for the costumer or the staff. It needs to be changed otherwise I will never buy anything from the Brick in the future!

Kitchen

Me and my boyfriend purchased a new fridge from them and picked it up ourselves. When we got it home and unpackaged it we noticed two HUGE dents in the fridge. So we called back to see if we could exchange the fridge, left a message for the manager and after a week of no reply my boyfriend went down to the store to see what was up. They tried to convince us just to exchange the doors instead of a whole new fridge. Finally we got them to realize it was bad enough that a new fridge was needed so they ordered us in another one. In that time by boyfriend hurt his food and was unable to walk so after a few weeks of having it their warehouse they offered to drop it off for us. The boys who brought us the new fridge and picked up the dented one even said it had to have been dropped pretty hard in the warehouse to have dents that big! So we un packaged the new fridge only to find that the Stainless still is coming off the front of the freezer door!! So we call back AGAIN and the manager doesn't believe us, she asked for pictures and everything which we immediately send her. After a few weeks of no reply my boyfriend had to go back to the store again. This time we just offered to swap out freezer doors as we figured it would be easier for them. WE ARE TOLD THEY CANNOT DO THIS! WTF!! So my boyfriend takes another day off of work to meet them at the house to bring us fridge #3 and they show up at the wrong house! His parents also have a file at the Brick and they go to their house not ours!! We have lost out now in hundreds of dollars in wages just to wait for them to bring us yet another defective fridge. This is honestly bullshit. I work as a customer care specialist and The Brick has to have THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life! I have never encountered a more frustrating situation yet!

Full Circle What a joke! Bought appliances 5 years ago and was offered a money back Full Circle plan if not used. Asked if in any limitations and told no but must claim it. So that is what I did, upon going to store for info on how to claim....yes when I did get someone from head office on the phone...told to deal with it a store level! The lovely girls there tell me I must use on one item oh and yes no appliances and electronics ( did I not say I had asked and was told no limitations) I then call and leave 5 messages at head office with no call backs. Not wanting to lose the almost $400 I go in to purchase a TV stand for my mom only to be told that I must make two purchases . Totally shocked I again try and reach head office as the store staff kept saying they couldn't do anything... still no luck so we go in and purchase 2 dinning room chairs as they are selling them as pairs, so yes we also paid for 2 more for a total of 4. I finally get a call back after leaving another message on Jan 6/15 from a Thomas Dunn who says for me to send him everything and he'll get back to me. Oh did I mention that even though paper work said Dec 30/14 they would not release funds until Jan 24/15 ( something about delivery) Finally get a call back from Thomas to be told that actually I should never had gotten 2 chairs as was to be on a single item...I almost lost my mind...I guess they really hope you will for get about these warranties and except for Matt and the 2 sales men I worked with the staff at the PITT MEADOWS Store are the cream of the crop! Yes I am being cheeky I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THE BRICK OR STEP FOOT IN ONE....I'd say they know nothing about customer service.

Purchased a bed

Purchased a bed from the brick for a gift to my mom for Christmas. Was supposed to be delivered December 23 and of course it wasn't. Then made a confirmation to be delivered January 10, phoned 3 times confirming that it was coming since my mom had nothing to sleep on since she got rid of her old mattress; they said it was to be delivered that day and even received a phone call from them stating this and no show!! I believe that the brick has great "in your face" service when you're purchasing your product so they receive their commission, but after that completely horrible! Should have good service through the whole process. Very dissatisfied customer and this isn't the first time that I had a problem with this crappy company.

Couch & Ottoman

Bought a couch & Ottoman from them. Charged delivery fee, but can't deliver ottoman & tell me I need to pick it up. So, I pick it up today, double check with the young man in the warehouse that it has the legs (because it looked small), he assured me that everything is there. I get the Ottoman home, unwrap it & there's no legs. I call the store & she treated me like I was a moron and couldn't find the zippered bag they were supposedly in on the bottom. I assured her there was nothing but the Ottoman, cardboard & plastic wrap...no legs, no zippered bag. She told me that's rare & never happens and that their out of spare legs. I was surprised how quickly she knew there were no spare legs considering how "rarely" this happens. Maybe she could've made it look a little more believable if she said "Oh, let me check our inventory" or something along those lines. Probably a common occurrence. I was told I can return the Ottoman and they will reorder it (another 4-6 week wait, I already gave been waiting 5 weeks) or she can order the legs from Mississauga and I should get them in 2 weeks. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THE BRICK AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! Also, like other people have written, the sales staff will tell you anything to make the sale. I came in with all my measurements, concerned about the couch fitting through the door, hall, etc. I even asked if they had a delivery person available that we could ask. No problem, it will fit, if not the delivery guys will bring it back & you can pick a new one, but that has never happened. Delivery guys get here & they say there is no way the couch is fitting through the door or down the hall. Thankfully they were able to carry it around back and bring it through my sliding glass patio door. According to the delivery guys the sales staff are always promising the moon to customers and then the poor delivery guys get capped on when the delivery doesn't go as planned.

LG range

I bought the range and an extended service plan, the range broke in a month. Calls to their service people were not fruitful, calls to the Brick were met with untruths and the inability to solve the problem. They have zero customer service, Trans Global who they 'use' for repairs are incompetent. Buyer beware, go anywhere else. 16 days with no range and still waiting..although they did block me from twitter so I could not keep asking where the customer service was so I guess thats a response.
