Blinds To Go

Went in for some 9' vertical blinds for my condo and was happy with the selection and ease of ordering. The staff were helpful and the order came in on time too. The slight problems started when after 4 months the rectangular plastic notch cut-out at the top of each blind that inserts into the hook, started to wear out and crack. The entire vertical blind is held up by that one notch and so when that breaks, the whole (single) blind falls. Several blinds failed and came crashing down. So I guess I should say I wasn't impressed by the longevity, but it was a rental condo so I didn't mind too much. What did semi-impress me was when I went back into the store they had a great solution all ready and waiting for me! They gave me Free-of-charge a little packet of 5 or 6 metal clips that basically clip right onto the broken blind. The metal clip has a rectangular notch punched out so I was basically able to restore all the broken blinds and re-hang them in 10 minutes. I found it ingenious! Though, we need to remember that they shouldn't have broken in the first place either!

We wanted to replace the blinds at our new place with some simple and inexpensive blinds.
Some of our windows are quite large and we couldn't find anything off the shelf from Ikea or homedepots that would fit.

We went to this store on Dufferin and talk to a young girl name Sue. She was very very helpful and friendly, answered all the questions we had.
We did our research on their website before going, but there were still a lot of questions we couldn't find the answer online. Sue was patient and friendly and answered all the questions we had. She also gave us some samples of the mount so we can go home and properly measure everything before we order.

After we ordered, our blinds were readied in just 2 days!

BTG prices seems expensive compare to those off-the-shelf blinds you can get from ikea and box store, but compare to other custom order blinds they are actually very inexpensive

We purchased the Rhapsody Shade which had the drop-down feature. It looked good in our bathroom and the price was much cheaper than name brands like Hunter Douglas. The only complaint is that there was a strong smell with the new blinds but the smell dissipated in a week.

The sales people were very helpful and gave us instructions on how to measure the windows accurately. Simply give them the measurements and then pick up when ready.

Our blinds arrived in time and we installed them ourselves very easily.

I liked the selection of colors and styles. The price was competitive but the customer service could have been a little better. I found myself waiting for 25 mins to be helped.

When we moved to our new Downtown condo in Toronto we loved the western exposure from the 8th floor, that is until the summer arrived. The sun made the condo way too hot. We went to Blinds to go at 3083 Dufferin and described our problem. They suggested these blind that cut the heat of the sun. Some allowed light in some did not. We chose the ones that did not allow the light to come in. They gave us an installation date. They were on time, the person who installed the blind was a true professional, but must important we loved the lifetime guarantee on the installation.
The Condo is a new world with the blinds. It satys cool in the afternoons when the sun is at its hottest. The blinds work like a charm.

The sales rep were helpful and mindful of your budget. They try to look for items within your budget but you have to be careful cause sometimes you might purchase an items that does not blend in with the appearance you're looking for but rather your budget - a mistake we almost did. Overall we were happy with our purchase.
