Another year, another great project from Blair! It's becoming our yearly tradition. As always, couldn't be happier with Blair's work. He shored up the wall, removed the old bedroom window, enlarged the opening supporting it with a new lintel, installed a sliding door, then did all the finish trim work. Looks great! Looking forward to his return in the Spring to build our new deck!

When you hire Blair, you can be confident that he will do an amazing job, on time, on budget and with beautiful results! This was our third project working with Blair and looking forward to more to come in the future!

This time, we hired him to replace our dining room window. He put up a temporary support wall, removed the old window, widened the opening, installed a new lintel, then installed the new window along with drywall, trim, and molding. He did a wonderful job making the trim and molding match the existing style of the house!

I would definitely recommend Blair for your carpentry and renovation projects!

Blair recently came and fenced in a portion of our backyard to keep our new puppy within. The space is very awkward as there's a 2m high deck above a walk out basement, sloping stone pavers and a narrowing, curving retaining wall that he had to contend with.

Blair came by and spent a good amount of time discussing the design with us and providing us with ideas on the project. He was incredibly punctual and professional, completing the job as quoted and also accomodating of a last minute addition. Given the aformentioned challenges of the space, we were very particularly impressed by how aesthetically pleasing the end product turned out.

We have a few other carpentry projects around the house in mind and we'd definitely use Blair for them.

Blair recently rebuilt our front steps and we're very pleased with his craftsmanship. He was extremely skilled, organized, efficient and a real pleasure to deal with, finishing the job quickly and on budget. We wanted to modify the existing steps somewhat to suit our needs and he came up with a solution that also looks great. We recommend Blair without hesitation.

Blair did some small carpentry projects around the house such as installing closet doors, including trim, and creating a bulkhead in our basement to improve the appearance of a tricky area.
Blair’s carpentry work was top quality. He was very careful and thorough in his prep and clean up of the work areas.

This was our second project with Blair. We previously hired him to rebuild and enclose our front porch. He did such a nice job last time that we recommended him to our friends who hired him to do projects of their own. Blair has just rebuilt our old rear fence and as always he has done a great job! We're always very happy with his work. This definiltey won't be our last project with Blair!

We had a wall removed to open up the space in our closet for built-in cabinetry. We refurbished our old looking fireplace in our bedroom as well to create a more contemporary look.

We're very happy to have found Blair! We needed someone to completely rebuild and enclose our old front front porch and Blair has done just that, exceedeing all of our expectations! We definitely echo the sentiments of past reviewers about how Blair is an expert craftsman that does beautiful work, is extremely punctual, trustworthy, reliable, amiable and easy to collaborate with! He took our architect's drawings along with our input and his own expert input and made our front addition come to life! His crew and occasional subcontractors, like electricians, were also terrific. From structural work and framing, doors and windows, drywall, siding, electrical, tile, custom-built stairs and railings, and finish carpentry, Blair handled it all giving us a new addition to our house that is as beautiful as it is functional while passing all mandated city inspections with zero issues. From the very beginning, Blair’s attention to detail is obvious beginning with his 4 page typed quote listing every detail of the work he would do, materials he would use, along with any caveats for unknowns and a very fair price. He did everything he said he would do and then some, exactly on time and on budget to the penny. Any extra details that came up later that weren't part of our original agreement or were changes I wanted to make were discussed before any work went ahead and charged at a very reasonable price, or in some cases no extra charge if the cost of material and labour were in line with the original plan. Zero headaches, zero surprises, excellent workmanship and lots of compliments on my new enclosed porch. Exactly what you want when undergoing an addition project. I would hire Blair again in a heartbeat for future projects!

We hired Blair on a friend's recommendation with a few projects in mind and he not only helped us to refine our vision into something practical and affordable but also did a beautiful job executing the work - so much so that we brought him back to do more. He was great at listening to what we wanted and offering helpful suggestions. The projects included tearing down an old-built-in wardrobe and replacing it with a custom-built desk to create a study nook in our upstairs hallway; using an economical mixture of Ikea and custom carpentry to create a built-in wardrobe in our bedroom; replacing backyard fences; building a deck and outdoor stairs; and designing and building a unique backyard shed to house several canoes, kayaks and paddleboards along with gardening tools. Blair is great to work with. He has a positive and relaxed attitude and a great work ethic. We would highly recommend him and hire him again.

Blair worked with us on a specific design of new fence, provided good insight in how it needs to be done and then delivered an excellent product at the end. On time and on money. Highly recommended to anyone who is looking for quality and craftsmanship.
