We have had Atlas Care service our HVAC for over 20 years, and install a new HVAC system in 2011. (We are on an annual maintenance contract which I recommend because when your HVAC breaks its a big issue)
Our A/C unit iced up at the start of the 2021 cooling season and Del talked us through steps to sort it out Saturday night and at our request inspected it Sunday Morning on Victoria Day weekend. He was very patient with our questions and clearly explained the possible causes and options.
We are hopeful the cause is a combination of dirty air filter and closed floor vents from winter which limits airflow in the ducts and can freeze up the evaporator inside the house. Spotted a closed damper and pointed it out to us.
Overall Del was extremely helpful in diagnosing and resolving given the long weekend timing. We are thawing out the system and hoping A/C returns to normal.
