We recently moved into our new house built by Ashley Oaks. We are quite happy with their workmanship and their after sales support. The salesperson, Nick, helped us through the entire purchase including making any structural and decor changes to our house. He was very knowledgeable and always there to guide us through the process. I would most definitely recommend my friends and family to purchase a house from Ashley Oaks.

We were first home buyers. If any one thinks Ashley Oaks Homes Inc. is going to deliver to them their "Dream Home" then you had better go back to sleep !!!

I would like to try and save some one else the head ache we had with this construction company.

Today I began to review hardships in my life. This particular home purchase came to my mind. I decided to search and see if they are still in business. By some stroke of a miracle or luck, I see they are.

Our first home purchase from this builder, if you will, delivered us the following;

Inferior brick work = ripped out areas to be re-bricked
Step cracks in brick work after 6 months of taking possession
Leaking basement walls
Plumbing leak = flooring replacement on 1st level of house
We personally re-sanded and re-varnished oak staircase
Every door in house had to be re-sanded and re-varnished
Some drywall showed seams
High heating bills due to all windows leaking air
Plastic placed over windows to insulate would move out into the room from the cold air blowing against windows
Outer walls of house very cold -- not insulated properly

Too many issues with this regrettable purchase to remember anything good about this experience.

After sales service was promised before we purchased. Receiving it in a timely manner after purchase was non-exist ent.

It is my deepest wish that this review has helped, will help, any hard working family out there who is seriously considering departing with their hard earn cash to purchase a home from this builder.

Was sold the idea of "luxury living"....the only thing luxurious was the price tag at the time of purchase. Salesperson is NOT knowledgeable at all, almost everything we asked him, he had to ask his manager. We should have taken that as a sign of what's to come. Received my home a few months ago and after numerous delays, my family and I moved into an incomplete home. Stairs still needed to be stained, drywall doesn't meet at corners of some areas leaving huge gaps. Quality of finishes are very very VERY poor. My 9 year old daughter can do better in some areas. The paint they used is so thin and cheap feeling, peels and fades very easily. It seems like they cut corners and buy the cheapest product they can find to make as much as they can at the purchasers expense. Horrible builders....NEVER again period.

Great Builder! This is the second Ashley Oaks Home that I have purchased and buying from other builders and the quality is second to none. Very happy with the home and the whole purchasing experience. I would highly recommend them.

Do not buy from these guys. Horrible customer service. Lots of lips service. Sales associate are not knowledge at all. Not worth you money or headaches. All bs talk about 'high quality and standards'!

We had a very disappointing experience with Ashley Oaks Homes as well. This was our third builder home, most expensive house we've bought and was, by far, the worst experience. We have had a very similar experience to another poster below, and our house was built the same year (perhaps same subdivision?). There were major cracks in the basement and major ones in the garage floor that were only patched up and not repoured as they should have been. Like the other poster, there was garbage buried in our topsoil too (tires, mudflaps, paint cans, rebar and wires). I even took pictures because i just couldn't believe it. After calls and emails to the builder didn't produce any results, I had to email the owner and the town of Oakville to get some action (it was an environmental hazzard). It was finally resolved but after MUCH work on my part, which shouldn't be the case ever. We paid for an upgraded glass shower and it constantly leaks (even to this day) and completely ruined the drywall. They installed our bathroom mirror in two pieces (a 40/60 split) because someone decided to install an electrical outlet in the middle of the wall where a mirror would be hung, we paid for flat ceiling and you can see almost every drywall seam. The drywall tape is peeling in the ceiling corners in almost every room (especially the bathrooms). We had a big leak in one of our upstairs rooms and when they sent people to repair it, they used our shelving unit as a ladder to climb up to fix it and ended up breaking the shelves and then just patching it with some sort of compound and leaving it that way - not even telling us. This is only the tip of the iceberg and even though the experiences were more than a few years ago, they still bother me to this day.

AMAZING BUILDER! our home is almost 30 years old. Workmanship is second to none. Roof had to be redone which is expected. Window frames have not rotten, foundation is good, no cracks, orginal fixtures still in place. great quality and supplies used. holding up way better than the green park homes in the area. would buy again!
