10/10

CWG did an excellent job to waterproof our 90+ year old house with a stone foundation. The crew was extremely diligent, friendly, and they cleaned up the site at the end of each day and left it the same as before when the job was done. Harry personally came to the site several times during the project and for the final inspection. Frank, the crew leader, was great at directing his team which worked so efficiently and effectively that I was amazed at how organized and disciplined they were without tripping over each other. Harry was very reachable and answered all of my telephone calls and questions. Our neighbor had a concern about the work being done at our house and Harry quickly came over to meet with them and explain how the job was being performed. Frank and his Polish crew was fantastic and by the end of the project, I was speaking a bit of Polish that I learned from them! THANK-YOU Harry, Frank and his team for protecting our 90 year old foundation which I am certain will last for at least another 90 years!

Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
When looking for foundation waterproofers, do not let the price be the deciding factor. We had numerous quotes but decided to go with CWG and Harry because he thoroughly explained the process and reassured us that the quality of the work will be second the no one. Another contractor gave us a cheaper quote which looked attractive. However, after asking a lot of questions and getting down to the process of how this contractor was doing the job, it was discovered that they were not going to completely parge our stone foundation and only use an elastomeric rubber spray-on as the waterproof layer under the delta membrane. Harry's team did a great job parging that our 90+ year old stone foundation almost looked like a modern cinder block wall when the work was completed. This is very important for older homes that are built on top of a natural stone walls. Harry confirmed that he has the experience in working with these old houses and that he fully knew what to expect when it came to waterproofing our house., fully parging, and protecting our foundation. TIP for homeowners: ask a lot of questions, learn how the contractor is doing the job, what materials are they using, will they fully parge the wall before the waterproofing (important for older homes), what waterproofing material will they use (elastomeric spray-on or membrane), will they install a delta membrane, how much stone will be used on top of the weeping tile, how will they backfill and tamp the soil, etc. Education and knowledge is key. But with CWG and Harry, he fully explained the process and deliver it as promised to our greatest safisfaction.
