We got new siding and a new front door installed in May 2018. Steve and his team were top notch from start to finish. About a month ago, a piece of siding ripped off the house due to high winds. When I contacted Fortress, I was immediately told that I would have to go through home insurance as the damage was a result from “an act of god”. After contacting our insurance I was told that we had a $1,000 deductible. Since it was only one panel, I informed Fortress that we will not be going through our house insurance as the damage does not exceed $1,000. Promises were made by Steve to come and inspect the job the same day and provide a quote to repair the siding. That never materialized after numerous follow-ups. He finally came out to inspect the job, weeks later, and said he will have his installers confirm when they will do the job, but then it went silent again. Ended up getting another company to do the job and in less 2 days, the job was done. When we were getting the job done in 2018, he was very responsive and professional throughout the entire process, we were very happy. We understand this is not a big job and it may not be worth much for his time but , I am very disappointed in the lack of service and level of professionalism I’ve experienced during this process.
- Company Response
Hello Michael, thank you for your feedback and I do apologize for the long wait to repair your siding. The Covid 19 issues have proven to be very problematic with regard to getting product and labour in a timely fashion. The issues are real and beyond our control. I understand your disappointment and this incident certainly does not reflect our normal excellent service record. All the best, stay safe. Steve
