We initially dealt with Matt in late February, we had previously purchased a bathroom vanity 3 years earlier and loved the look, design and functionality, so we requested a similar style for our downstairs bathroom. We encountered a few delays along the way, but all were attributable to the pandemic. Throughout the process, we were kept informed and when we recently acquired our bathroom vanity, we were exceptionally happy. Minor modifications were made, based on his recommendations, such that the final product exceeded our expectations. Would absolutely recommend using him for high quality, unique products.

This has been my third occasion engaging Serge and his team. As usual I am very pleased with his work. There are no ambiguities when dealing with him, you know what it's going to cost, you know when it will be done, and you know that it will be done well. His experience is such, that if he encounters a problem ( ie our home is over a hundred years old), he is able to quickly resolve and produce the expected outcome. The work speaks to his integrity, skill and professionalism. In addition, I had requested a couple of items to be addressed ( a detached eaves trough and the replacement of a mail slot in the main door) and he readily agreed to do so at no extra cost. I would not hesitate to engage him again in any of his many areas of expertise.

This company was recommended to me by a contractor, whom I trust, so I contacted them, and the next day the technician arrived, very reassuring and seemingly knowledgeable, who thoroughly examined the roof and soffit and determined the point of entry. He sealed a potential site and installed the "trap" which allows exit, but not re-entry. A proposal was made to attached a wire mesh between my neighbour's property and mine, a narrow space that could be an issue, so once I received permission from my neighbour, the tech promptly returned the following day to expertly seal it up and the effect is virtually undetectable. My neighbour was also pleased with the solution and the workmanship. One more visit ensued within a couple of days to ensure that the squirrels were indeed gone/barricaded. I love a happy ending

Our decision to select Academia Roofing was based initially on the reviews in Homestars (of which there were many and virtually all were filled with praise) and secondly on our in-depth meeting which entailed not only a thorough examination of the roof and the attic, but included a detailed plan to address those issues associated with the roof and attic as well as a commitment to resolve some other issues. We had purchased our house less than a year ago; the initial home inspection noted that the roof needed repair despite the fact that it had been replaced in 2009. So we hired a roofing company and in their estimation (cursory at best) only the chimney needed work ( this has always been my experience; assessments conducted by other roofers focused primarily on price based on a brief walk around the property) Ten months later, we discovered a leak and Gordon Bailey entered our lives. Needless to say, our house has been transformed. In addition to replacing the entire roof including soffit, fascia, flashing, eavestrougs, leaf covers and downspouts, he maximized ventilation, added insulation to the attic (benefits derived were immediate), he replaced the dormer window with a thermal one and redesigned the supporting framework by replacing the aluminum siding with material that resembles slate rock( the look is unique and elegant), extended the slate rock material to the second floor bay window( creates uniformity and a balanced look), replaced all window sills with limestone( all were in bad condition) and surprisingly replaced the roof on the garage. These items; the slate rock material framing the 2 wndows, the limestone window sills and the garage roof were provided without any additional cost because Gordon takes pride in his work; he is motivated by improving functionality and esthetics. It is very apparent that we were dealing with a consummate professional, one whose focus is entirely on the work and the client. In fact, our neighbours were impressed, not only with the workmanship, but with his consideration of them as well. Peace of mind is what we now have and we feel confident that Gordon will be there for us to address any concerns we might have in the future.

I selected the company based in part on the work they had done with a neighbour, and because of their reviews. 8 windows were replaced in the summer, and 6 months later, no issues whatsoever. Drafts are no longer a problem and they have enhanced the appearance of the house. Dealing with Serge was a pleasure, he is very low-key, but knowledgeable and professional. He made recommendations when appropriate and kept me informed throughout the process. The work was completed within the identified timeframe, cleanup was immaculate, and the change was dramatic. I will be contacting him again in the spring for additional work.

I met Keith's Mom on the bus, described my dismay with the front yard, easily the most unattractive on the block, and she recommended her son. How cute, right. Within a week, my front yard was transformed. The walkway was replaced with multiple shaped rose-tinted blocks, the garden area was surrounded by stones that appeared natural and integral to the area, and plants were strategically distributed throughout the inner space. I received rave reviews from virtually every friend and neighbour, and 6 years later, the space continues to look vibrant and healthy and balanced. The experience was easily one of the most pleasant and fun that I've had.
