My husband and I decided to replace our double garage door. We requested quotes from 4 companies. Scarboro Garage Doors was the only one to respond. We wanted a local company so we were happy. The installation went well except the button inside the garage which opens and closes the door was not working. We called the company and the installer came back the next day and fixed it. The door looks great and works fine now.

I sent requests to 4 railing companies that I researched on Home Stars. GTA was the only one that responded. I received a text from Mike that same day. He came a few days later and we signed a contract. John came and took away the old railing and installed the new columns 2 days later. Within a week and a half my new railings were installed. John did a great job. They look beautiful and are very sturdy. We were concerned that the flagstone on the verandah might be damaged but everything looks perfect. We are very pleased and looking forward to no more painting!

My son recommended this company to us when we were clearing out my late father-in-law's house. They delivered the bin on time and had no problem with the narrow driveway. Since it was winter time we were allowed to keep the bin for 2 weeks and could keep it a couple of extra days if needed. They picked up the bin when scheduled as well. I would use them again.

We were clearing my Father-in-Law's house because he had recently died. We called Rid Of It for an estimate. The price was reasonable so we hired them. Lucas and Derek came to remove the items. They were on time and very efficient. Some of the things were heavy and awkward but there was no complaining. We added the washer to the list and were not charged extra. I was very impressed with this company and would definitely hire them again.

We had our complete kitchen renovation done by Bathlux about 4 years ago. We have had trouble with most of the doors on the cabinets. One of them doesn't fit properly no matter how we adjust it. One of them fell off completely. The grout between the floor tile is cracking. The drawers are rubbing. I was having trouble with the outlets they installed so while I had an electrician here for something else, he looked at them. He said he was surprised that they worked at all. They weren't wired correctly and the ground wasn't even attached! The list goes on and on. We had someone else come to try to adjust the cabinet door. He said it's one of the worst kitchen installations he has ever seen. I would never recommend this company. The owner, John, never listens to anything you try to tell him. I hope I never have dealings with them again.

From the beginning, Tapworks was very professional. The estimate we received included a list of everything we asked for and the complete price including tax and labour. We got an estimate from another company that was just the amount written on a scrap of paper with no HST added. The person doing the renovation arrived when they said he would. We had Joel doing our reno. He was terrific. He was a perfectionist and made sure everything he did was done right. The job took longer than they estimated but that was because of Joel's attention to detail. Joel was there every day except one which he previously told us about (he was volunteering that day). We had everything done except for the bathtub area which was previously done by BathFitter. Everything looks beautiful. I would definitely recommend this company.

Alex gave us a really good price for our 3 bedroom windows and our very large window in the livingroom. We had a call within 2 weeks to say that the windows were ready and they would be coming to install them. They came on the day promised (although they were early, luckily I was home). They had the windows installed in a very reasonable period of time which was good because it was cold outside. Before they left they showed us how to remove the screens and operate the windows so we can clean them. They removed all the debris. I am very happy with my new windows.

Monty came to give us an estimate. He was very thorough. We were able to get our new furnace and air conditioner very quickly which was good as we had no heat at the time. The installer was supposed to come on Friday but called Thursday to see if it was ok to start. He started the job Thursday and came back first thing Friday morning to finish. He stayed all day until the job was finished. The only thing I wasn't happy with was that he didn't clean up very well afterwards. We had to clean up outside where he drilled through the wall and inside there were pieces of concrete and dust in my laundry tubs and on the floor. We are happy with the furnace so far and nice and warm.

Our electrician was Pierre. He always showed up on time and did excellent work. He even installed light fixtures, outlets and switches for no additional charge. Everything was cleaned up well, and Pierre would not leave until we were completely satisfied with the work. We would not hesitate to recommend Pierre and Java Electric to others. If we are having electrical work done in the future we would definitely call Pierre.
