***** PLEASE READ BEFORE HIRING ***** To those whom may consider hiring this " water proofing contractor" the business owner has been finding ways to delete my previous reviews on google, i hope this will stay here for everyone's benefit We unfortunately we have been mislead and hired an unprofessional waterproofing contractor. We have been following the guidance road map: I have had little or no success with the waterproofing contractor we hired in April 2022. The job has not been completed yet and the contractor has failed to provide their updated licensing information in order for us to claim the waterproofing sump pump rebate from the city as agreed upon, other areas still outstanding is regrading the dug out ground, resoding the neighbours damaged lawn, and returning the existing property's landscaping interlocking original state before the work stated. We tried our best to professionally communicate, but the contractor John / RASTISLAV , has been avoiding us, and leading us on with false promises of dates in completing the work. He is however a professional actor beware of his following exhausted excuses -traffic -car trouble -left wallet in other car -out of country He goes by 2 company names if you search his name via the toronto licensed contractors you will not find his license ***The licence issue date is August 26, 2019. The licence cancellation date is January 24, 2022. **** He claims his company was switching names and was an admin issue and that his license would be reinstated to the new one "Home Waterproofing Construction Inc" I find this now highly suspicious. ***** Original review June 2022: ***** I rarely give poor reviews, but if you are considering them for water proofing "you get what you pay for" they are cheaper than other places because of the following : Workmanship is mediocre, communication can be improved, a lot of false promises, excuses, and poor customer service. I regret in referring them to others because of their initial good start and did not evaluate the full job being completed, it still isn't. I sincerely hope that John will honour his terms of the job in our contract. This review will stay here until this matter is resolved and further escalation may be required later on. I have been waiting for their updated business licensing information to claim for my sump pump rebate from the city of Toronto for over 2 months. I am still waiting for my post water proofing appointment for them to regrade my property and some post work they missed the first time. *** I have my concerns that they are still operating without proper business licenses and registrations please be aware and warned. *** I'd strongly recommend you to not consider them, please contact me if you'd like more information *** Edit July 5, 2022 *** : After the escalation and numerous attempts to be in contact with John he has only visited the property for a visual site. Promised to return to complete the job (regrading the ground, repaired improperly installed liners, and restore pre-waterproofing landscaping, interlocked tiles, stones, and resod damaged neighbour's grass. Issues of the job with pictures : - various areas lacking liner seal - sump pump incorrectly installed, almost flooded basement few times - demanding advanced payments - downspouts were incorrectly reinstalled John still has not provided his updated license for our sump pump rebate. I will be Filing a formal complaint to the Government - Consumer Protection Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services as a public service announcement. Will be recommending having his company name(s) to Government of Ontario Consumer Beware List: Note that he still does not have a current contractor's license My final resort will be taking him legally to court for breach of contract
