We had quotes from several roofing companies before selecting Smart Roofing. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice. Bob impressed with his responsiveness AND not only did he show up (whenever he said he would) but he also went up on the roof to inspect, before and after. He took pics of what he saw and explained and answered our many questions. (We are THOSE people who research and learn before making big $ decisions so we hit him with a lot of questions). Smart Roofing made replacing the roof a painless experience (we had been dreading it): - they kept in touch through the process and let us know when the crews would arrive and followed up after it was done - they took extra steps to protect our new driveway, hardscaping and gardens - they not only showed up on time but worked hard through the day - the crews all were very personable and polite They were not the cheapest quote, but they by far exceeded others in the service and support. Highly recommend!

Frank from Spano made regular rounds in our neighbourhood over several years, we kept in touch and watched them do work in the area. When we were ready we gave him a call - true to his word, he upheld the initial quote, and showed up on time right from the beginning. They removed the paving and put a nice deep underlay, let it sit for several weeks. He recommended a contractor for doing our walkway and then together they coordinated the timing. No sooner was the hardscaping done (fantastic workmanship too), the driveway was done. They were fast and professional and very clean and tidy. Really great work - we are very picky, but we are so happy to recommend Spano!

We had Solutions come to do an electrical audit a couple years ago - best decision ever! Upon completion of several different renovations by different companies we felt uneasy with the electric workmanship - it seemed somewhat haphazard. The audit by Solutions helped us know what issues existed and they also fixed a couple of things right on the spot. Sure enough they found overloaded circuits, several unground ones and a number of messed up configurations that would require further investigation and we were informed we had to replace the breaker panel......a second time in less than 10 years! The previous electrician we hired had install it used a panel that could not be expanded and it was fully used, not to mention overloaded in places. They alerted us to possible asbestos in our attic so they were unable to complete the full inspection. We knew it was going to be a big job to fix it all so had to wait awhile before embarking on it. We completed the environmental assessment and received clearance from asbestos which gave us the green light to continue with the electrical work. We just completed phase one of the repairs and we want to shout out to Joe B and Carmen who did the work with Solutions - they found multiple junction boxes hidden, incorrect wiring, several very poorly and incorrectly installed pot lights that were a fire hazard. Their dogged determinedness to locate and dismantle the hidden junction boxes and their attention to detail to run new wires in an organized fashion and fix the multitude of prior messes has left us with a tremendous sigh of relief. The guys were so pleasant and their work-ethic surpassed any trade we've ever had work done in the past - long days and we never even saw them take a break! Every day they left us with power in the most important places, all tidied up. They were careful within our home, laying down plastic and wearing booties and as least intrusive as one can be doing such a rewire!! We most definitely will have them back to complete the last phase but also will be recommending them to everyone. Thanks guys!

We have been customers for quite sometime after we moved into our house with an old furnace. We bought the annual service contract and have been absolutely delighted with them . We got an extra 10 years out of the old furnace. We had A1 install our new one like 6 years ago and then a new air conditioner as well. They are clean, quick and very professional. Most recently we had to have sewer drain work done and unfortunately the drains were under the furnace. We called A1 to dismantle it, John was here right on time and explained the do/not do with the furnace off for our safety while it was pulled apart. After the drain work was complete he came back to reassemble a few days later - as John was here he arranged to do our annual service call for us as well, which was really convenient. Every interaction we have had has been great, they are thorough and helpful and clearly have our best interest. I highly recommend them!!

We reviewed several plumbing companies before deciding on Strong Plumbing Inc to replace our main house drain and upgrade the water main too. They were not the cheapest but we really appreciated Val's straightforward approach. Also instead of digging up our front walk he suggested they use a tool that uses hydraulics to go through the existing pipe (Pipe Burst). This meant they would dig a hole in the house and one outside and send the machine through to assist with putting the pipes in. Not only were they on time, but they carefully 'tarped' the house, they worked through the rain, and they also completed the job a day ahead of what was expected!! The guys were professional, very patient with our many questions and they left the house spotless! Highly recommend them. Fantastic job, thank you very much Val and team!

Due to the great HomeStars ratings we called Express Rooter for plumbing help. Couldn't be more pleased. We had tried to repair a cartridge in a leaking shower faucet and it was ceased. When trying to loosen it the pipe broke in the wall causing a leak to our basement. We turned off the water and went in search of help. I literally had to ask them to wait to come so we could go buy the new faucet first! Chris was here within 45 minutes, he gave us a quote from the book based on the work needed to be done then he started the work. He was very professional, quick and very pleasant, he also wore little booties to protect our home - I appreciated that. We will definitely use Express Rooter again.
