We hired Christian and the Super Powers team to move our single family home in Calgary. Having used moving companies on three previous occasions, I can speak with a reasonable level of experience in my recommendation of this company. First, I would like to start with the initial communication with Christian. Having seen and read reviews of Super Powers I was so impressed by those reviews as well as their Homestars and Google ratings, that I submitted a request for quote via the Homestars site and got a prompt reply with the standard information. Christian and I hammered out the details of my move over several emails, Christian answered all my questions and then some. He is very specific and pays attention to the details, I provided a detailed manifest of what would be moved and was pleased with the recommendation of a three mover team. The day of my move was as stress-free as a move can be, I have had more stressful haircuts and I am not joking. The three man moving team: Josh, Gord and Fedor arrived promptly as scheduled. They surveyed the contents to be moved, assessed any items/areas that could pose problems and promptly got to work. They were exceedingly efficient; every piece of furniture was wrapped in a moving blanket before being loaded and every fragile item was handled accordingly. My house was loaded into the 5-ton truck amazingly quick. And not a single nick, ding or dent in my walls or floors, had I moved myself there would have been many of those. The unload was as smooth as the initial load, there were zero hiccups. The new home had a lot of stairs for which I felt badly, but Fedor, Gord and Josh did not appear to notice them. All the furniture, boxes and sundry items were brought into the house, and moved to their designated spots. The couch legs were reattached and our bed frame put together. The guys even helped me level the fridge at my new place as it was decidedly crooked and my wife and I would not have been able to accomplish that feat on our own, this was going above and beyond! As with the load, the house was unblemished and all my possessions arrived undamaged. I do not hesitate to recommend Christian and his team, they are absolutely amazing. Now having had the experience of four separate moving companies, I can say this team is different than the rest. The attention to detail and care was more than head and shoulders above the previous companies I have hired, there simply isn’t any comparison. The reviews and ratings of this company tell the story, these guys are the real deal, you will not find a finer moving company, full-stop. Make certain they are on your shortlist when you are exploring your next move, I can say with certainty that you will be happy they were.

We had Ryan out to our newly purchased house to perform maintenance on our gas fireplace and furnace and couldn't be happier with him or the results. The 11-year old fireplace had never been cleaned or serviced and it showed. It was very dusty, the glass was foggy and it smelled musty when used. Ryan cleaned the whole fireplace, all the logs and rocks, replaced the embers, and repainted the box. All this work is now clearly evident through the newly cleaned, crystal clear glass! During the maintenance, Ryan discovered a rheostat switch (variable speed control for the fan) that was completely disconnected and apparently never installed as part of the original installation. He was able to set this up for us, and consequently, we are now able to adjust the speed of the blower fan. During the furnace maintenance, Ryan discovered a couple of small gas leaks (yikes). He was able to identify their origin and stopped the leaks and then tested diligently via pressure test and gas-detector tests to confirm that he had indeed fixed the issue. This has given us piece of mind and we are very pleased (and relieved) that we had him in today. Highly recommend Ryan. His pricing couldn't be beat and the value we got for his time here was outstanding.

I hired Real Estate Movers (REM) to move us from our rental to our newly purchased home. I did quite a bit of due diligence at the outset and sent a request for quote to six local moving companies, complete with a list that was a more or less complete inventory of the goods to be moved. Of these six requests, four companies responded with general quotes outlining hourly rate and projected hours required based upon the description provided. Of these four, only Victor with REM offered to visit our rental and visually review the contents to be moved and to assess the site and discuss any obstacles which might impact the estimate. It was this touch that demonstrated to me that Victor and his team were the crew for us. Our two movers, Shay and Marco, arrived exactly on time at 8am. They were personable, friendly, and extremely efficient. They had our rental loaded in great time, with due care and attention given to ensuring that all our items were securely and safely wrapped and protected. As well, they did an A+ job moving all our stuff up the narrow basement stairs without once scraping the walls. The unloading process was done in great time, they placed all the items where I asked, whether basement, second story or main floor. They were also gracious enough to work around the lawn maintenance crew that of course started the year's mowing on move-in day! At the end of the day, the move was completed within 30 minutes of the originally estimated time, all our stuff arrived free of damage, and no damage was sustained at either of our two locations. The price was right with this company (on the lower end of the quotes I received). I cannot recommend Real Estate Movers highly enough and would not hesitate to use them again.

I hired Plumbing Paramedics to repair the dual flush mechanism for the toilet at the rental house we were staying in. I selected them after reading all their positive reviews and was very happy that I did. Kellen arrived on time and had the proper replacement part for what turned out to be a very antiquated toilet with near-impossible-to-find parts! Kellen was courteous, personable and had the repair completed in less than 20 minutes! Believe the other reviews, this is most definitely a plumbing company you can trust to do the job right.

We hired Kevin to replace the locks on our new house. He arrived promptly at the time he said he would, completed the job quickly and efficiently, with the final bill being exactly as estimated. Kevin was friendly and personable; a total pro. We would and will recommend Kevin and Ambassador Lock and Key without hesitation.

We hired Steve and his team at Lavish Lawns to take care of our lawn during the summer of 2016. They did a great and thorough job, ensuring that all clippings were taken away and that all edges were trimmed as well. Our lawn was always well-manicured and tidy. We are moving to a new home and have engaged them for the 2017 season. Arranging the service for the new location and obtaining the quote for the work was quick and painless. Would highly recommend them!
