By far the best price through our local Costco. Jason and Anil did a fabulous job installing the units. I had to call them back one month after installation to reset the pad (footing) on the AC unit and they came the same day. It took nearly 2 hours but they created a better foundation. They were friendly and conducted themselves professionally.

Superb workmanship. They delivered on time, within budget and handled every aspect of the kitchen reno. Reno involved excavation, demolition of an exterior wall, custom cabinetry, flooring, new drywall, lighting, countertops, and opening up interior. Michael and his staff are very easy to deal with and communication is excellent with all parties. Michael only uses high-end suppliers, who are worth every penny. On his final inspection, the building inspector told me that he rarely tells homeowners anything about their general contractors for better or for worse. But he made an exception with me by telling me that Probuilt not only met the building code but exceeded it - a first in his experience. Probuilt is not inexpensive but the workmanship, service and materials are simply not available at a lower price and probably not even available at a higher price. We know; we checked. Michael's cabinet maker uses marine grade plywood. We checked out the best cabinet makers in the GTA and didn't find any that used that quality of material. My only advice would be to be sure you don't add to your original plan because any additions will cost you dearly. If you want all the bells and whistles, do it from the get-go.There was a foreman on site at all times and the crew rarely missed a day in the five month project. In fact, the only time they were away was during the home show because Probuilt was responsible for the dream home. (They had all their crews assembling and disassembling the home.) We're currently hiring Probuilt to renovate our main bathroom.

Alpine came in among the lowest quotes for stripping shingles, roofing and flashing. They made errors here are there but they took full responsibility and carried out callbacks in a timely manner. I would recommend keeping an eye on the guys who do any flashings. Our crew seemed inexperienced given that they banged up the flashings something awful. Another crew was called in to repair the first job and the did okay. Chimney flashings took three or four callbacks before the job was finished to our satisfaction.

Extremely high quality workmanship and customer communication. Michael does not cut corners and neither do his crew members. He's not cheap, but quality never is. Michael built according to our budget and completed his work on time. He gets his cabinets from Perola, which produces cabinets that cannot be matched by any of the other high end companies we researched. With Michael, the job cannot be done wrong. It's done right from the get go.

Chris is an exceptional plumber whose work exceeds expectations. He doesn't take shortcuts and thoroughly explains what he's going to do and any modifications needed to the existing plan. Chris has done work roughing in plumbing for my basement and he's assisted me in bathroom renovations. I've recommended him to friends. Chris may charge a little more than others, but that's because he knows what his time, experience and reliability are worth.
