My reno needed to fit a definite deadline so tenants could move in. Being an unfinished basement in a 100+ year old house, there were bound to be snags. The snags delayed the project by weeks ... the reasons for the delays were sound, but the delays in getting the work done and the way they were dealt with wasn't great - no updates from project management unless specifically requested, which meant I was giving my new tenants promises I couldn't keep. The quality of the work was mostly good, but overall it was a stressful experience.

We appreciate the honest review. In talking with the team, it seems they were so focused on meeting a deadline and dealing with issues (that as you noted, can come up) that they weren't as diligent as they perhaps should have been when keeping you informed. They felt, erroneously that updates to the client/builder portal would be sufficient. We explained that that should be augmented with direct contact as often as possible and this will be the policy moving forward.
