Had some raccoons that got inside our attic and we're making crazy noise. First company we called charged $85 for an inspection and left a ridiculously overpriced quote and we would have to wait for them for a few days. They had fancy handouts about the animals so I guess we learned something about raccoons. But Pestend guys were called next and got to work right away with no frills. They installed a one way door that effectively evicted the pests and secured any possible entry points. They came back a few days later to remove the door and completed the job. All in all, that's what we were looking for, and the fee was much more reasonable. They also provide a 3 year warranty on the work, which is nice.

Manny came in to do a consultation on my minor mold problem. He did a thorough inspection of the problem area and assured me that it was a localized issue and did not affect the foundation of the house. He said he could fix it and charge $1200 but because it was such a small job that I could probably do it myself and save the money. Hard to find honest guys like this these days. I would recommend Manny and his company in a heartbeat!

My washer and dryer were both not broken so I looked up this company in the yellow pages. Called and spoke to a lady who set the appointment up and told me there will be a $35 service charge to determine the problems. Two technicians showed up on time the next day. So far, so good. One of them was doing the testing, the other doing the talking/sales. They tested both appliances and determined that the belt was broken in the dryer, while the washer's motor was fried. The sales guy wanted to charge me $200 to change the belt, and the washer's motor was going to cost $400. I told them to leave the washer alone, and after some haggling they agreed to change the belt on the dryer for $100 and waive the $35 service charge. Problem was, they couldn't find the right size belt - after trying a few on they just gave up because they had another appointment scheduled. They then proceeded to charge me $50 for the attempted service, they didn't put the dryer back together, and too boot, they took my old belt without me knowing it! This is where it gets funny. I call back the number that the technicians called me from, but it redirects me to the lady that setup the appointment - and she just goes crazy on me! I told her the situation and ask her, politely, that her crew stop by and give me back the old belt because I need it for reference. She starts yelling at me saying that her guys are busy and she is busy, she doesn't have time for this and that I don't need the belt anyway. There is no way for me to say anything because she just keeps yelling at me the entire time, and then hangs up. I've called back 3 times and she just does the same thing, doesn't let me say anything or just hangs up. It was actually kind of funny, but my appliances are still broken and I'm out $50. Do not call this company. They don't list their address for a reason.

I've dealt with many contractors for my renovations and I am glad to say that Ricardo's Accord Roofing is one company that I would not hesitate to call again. In addition to quoting a reasonable price, Ricardo is also much more people-oriented as compared to some other people (and clowns) in this industry. I would recommend anyone to give Accord Roofing a call, it's a business that deserves to flourish.
