Todd and his partner at Lepard tree care provided great service at a great price. After receiving a quote which was 5x the price from another tree company, Todd came in and not only trimmed our trees, but provided advice on things to watch out for, all at an extremely reasonable price. Cutting and cleaning of the trees was done in a such way that our garden and patio was left as if they had never been there. Can't recommend highly enough.
Casa Life provided us with the best price in Toronto for our Calligaris dining table. Also didn't require a hefty deposit for the order which made purchasing from them all the better. While item took a while to come in, as it was a special order, when it arrived, the staff were helpful in making arrangements for delivery and setup. All in all a good experience.
After looking everywhere for just the right dining light to go with our new dining table, we came across Ultra Lighting by complete accident, while walking around Queen W. While the store on Spadina has only recently opened, Ultra Lighting has been around for a while, having recently moved from their old Church Street location. Not only were my wife and I impressed with the range of modern fixtures that the store had, but also by the great prices we found. Another pleasant surprise was the great service we found at the store. Each time we've gone in, we've never felt pressured to buy. Also the owners are also very helpful in providing great advice to assist with each purchase. Our new dining light has transformed our dining room and goes perfectly with our table!
After using these guys twice, I think I've finally learned my lesson. After moving into my new house, I called on them to come and clean my ducts. However, instead of using their truck to power the vacuum, they used a portable vacuum which left rubber marks all over our hardwood floor. Later, I called them again to steam clean a sofa and some chairs based on a promotion they were running. However, I was told by their cleaning guys that my chairs didn't meet the specifics of the promotion and that I would have to pay extra for what I wanted. While the company tried to make ammends for the situation, by offering me a $10 coupon, they have yet to return a number of my calls about this situation. There seems to be a definite disconnect between the guys who do the work and the people who take the orders.
Can't say enough good things about space solutions. Not only were they the best priced of the five companies we had come in to assess our closets, but their consultant, Jorgen, was professional and efficient in doing his assessment. Whereas other closet consultants tried to upsell us on things we didn't really need, Jorgen designed closets which were exactly what we needed. Their installers were also excellent, arriving when they said they would and completing the job without causing too much disruption to the house. Our closets were our first major renovation in our house, and they've been nothing but amazing. They've added much needed space to our small house and made our lives that much easier as a result. I highly recommend space solutions both in terms of value and quality.
After looking around at a few different stores for some new dining chairs for our home, we found exactly what we wanted right at Lily Lee. Not only did she have the chairs we wanted, but she had them at the best price. Compared to some of the higher end furniture stores on King St, Lily's price was $100 cheaper. And on top of that, there was a sale! Best of all, the chairs were ready for pickup the next day. Can't say enough about the staff. Extremely helpful as well as patient. We went there a few times before making our decision. Will definitely be shopping there again.
