It’s coming up to a year since I had the cedar guys plant over 170 feet ( 83 and 87 feet east / west side of property) I was nervous with such a huge commitment and cost but I followed the instructions of adding a soaker hose and mulch after planting. I planted in October so virtually little watering before winter. In the spring I watered occasionally and happy to say they are looking great. A little orange flagging is happening now with the fall which I read is normal. I had a few sad looking trees in the spring and as their warranty states they will come replace which they did. It was only 3 trees - considering they planted 170 I would say it was a complete success. Very happy with the crew. They left their number if I need to reach out anytime. Highly recommend.

Amazing service! The crew are professional, courteous and driven by detail. I had my soffits , fascia and eavestroughs done. They had a bit of a rain delay but managed to finish in a timely manner. A few sandwiches and snacks went a long way. They were grateful for any gesture. I am having the team back next year to install a new roof. My metal now looks so good I need the shingles done to complete the look. Thank you Elian , Jennifer and the entire crew for making this installation easy. Great people! I highly recommend.

So during this corona virus shut down my fridge control panel decided to malfunction setting an alarm that would beep non stop every minute. I tried unplugging / resetting / leaving doors open for 10 minutes - nothing. After 4 hours of going mad with the alarm noise .. I messaged EZfix who called me immediately ( even though it was now almost 10pm). As an essential service they confirmed they could come in the morning. Thankfully Eugene came on time and was able to order parts and disconnect the alarm temporarily. He promised to be back ASAP once parts were shipped. Within 3 days my fridge was fixed. Extremely grateful during this crisis to have hired Eugene. During this time of quarantine..essential businesses have been impacted ...and I was happy to support a local small business. Thank you Eugene. I highly recommend his company for appliance repair.

Jeremy was recommended by my gas guy after my pool heater stopped working two days before my big long weekend pool party. He was in the neighbourhood and came within 10 minutes of me contacting him. He picked up a new pool heater the same day and came back the following morning to install. Easy, reasonable and quick. He charges $290 for openings and closings. I am booking him for my closing. With 15 years experience in the area I am glad my gas line guy referred him. I now have a reliable pool guy!!

Wow! I found a gem with Al. I was in a panic with a long weekend pool party planned and my gas heater had an error code and stopped working. I googled search for gas technicians. Found his site and homestar reviews. Impressed I called him. He came the next morning. After spending over 2 hours trying to salvage the existing heater he recommended for cost effectiveness to replace the unit. He suggested a local pool guy. They came out that day and the job was done as a team. Al only charged me for a service call. He was incredible. I am having him back to install a BBQ line next. So glad I found him.

I cannot understand how anyone could give a negative review of this company. This was one of the most professional contractors I have ever dealt with. We bought a house with a bat problem. Unfortunately the previous bat proofing company that the sellers used did not honour their warranty when we purchased the home. And since they didn't "bat proof " the house - we had 5 bats appear throughout the winter in the basement I really didn't want them back. I decided to contact Kenny at Bats Canada after google searching Bat removal companies and finding his documentary that was filmed with HGTV. I was impressed when Kenny answered all my questions over the phone and promised to come out in the spring to inspect and quote. He advised nothing could be done in the winter. After inspecting my property he quoted the job and explained the bat proofing process. 6 hours of work and 4 entry points found ( with bat droppings) - yes the other guy missed them- my house was bat proofed. We haven't seen a bat since. With his 5 year warranty I feel confident I will not have a bat problem. Thank you Kenny for a job well done! I am grateful you travel as far as Newmarket!! You are truly a lifesaver. I can confidently go in the basement again!!

Wow. Adam was fantastic. He came on time and prepared. Having just moved into our home we needed a professional to inspect the fireplaces. He found a dead bat and some feathers in one chimney not to mention both chimneys were not cleaned properly. Adam went on the roof without hesitation even with our extreme pitch. We also replaced both fireplace caps on the roof because ours had gaps and were an older style. I will definitely hire magic touch again next year for our annual cleaning. We ended up spending just under $500 because we bought the lifetime stainless steel caps as well as the cleaning.

It's been almost 5 years since Frank and his crew refaced my cabinets and extended the cabinet height with glass fronts. The kitchen still looks new. No peeling or issues. Very pleased with the durability,and craftsmanship. I am happy I went with Frank's company.

Since my last post Lowell has built a treehouse for my kids, replaced my outside deck boards, rebuilt my mudroom and just completed my main floor washroom. With 5 jobs under his belt in my home he is definately my contractor for life!!!

I hired Lowell after verifying his work from a friend. He was diligent, thorough, hard working and did exactly what was promised. He enjoyed the entire renovation process including helping me with product selection. He arrived everyday early, working hard and making sure to restore daily order with a quick clean up. He treated my house as he would treat his own and paid attention to detail. His team included licenced plumbers and electricians..he quaranteed his work , came in on budget and within the time frame we had anticipated. I plan on hiring him again ..this time for our outdated upstairs bathroom.

I had a major problem last year when we were trying to install a new light fixture with old knob and tube wiring...I desperately looked in the phone book and as luck would have it called Manny.....he came to my rescue quickly and professionally...since then I have hired him a few more times for some odd jobs in the house including installing some lights and a wall oven. He knows that I will soon be renovating my basement and he will be definately the guy I call to do my plugs and lights...good to know that there are still decent contractors out there.

I found David on this site and called him for a consultation...we are wanting to finish our basement and had NO idea on how to tackle the layout incorporating a bedroom, tv room, work out room and sauna....fortunately David came through with not only 1 design but 3 for me to choose from...he was great and of course we loved his creative ideas.......I hope to hire him in future for other design dilemma's...

After reading recommmendations on this website...I hired Manny to drywall my daughter's room.. the wallpaper was not coming off the old plaster..LOL...in one day he and Carlos drywalled, taped and mudded the first coat...Carlos came back the next 2 days for additional mud applications, adding trim and priming the room.....I still can't decide on the paint color though......both Manny and Carlos were reliable and professional...I look forward to dealing with them again on future renovations......thank goodness there are still honest contractors around.......

I contacted Simcoe Woodcraft after finding a positive review on this website about them....and with luck they turned out to be as the other reviewer claimed...Nelson contacted me within 24 hours and scheduled an appointment with a written quote,the work was done within 2 weeks...over a 3 day period...and the floors look great.....I would highly recommend this company.......
