We’ve had several pest issues with our house over the past two years; but this was the first issue with mice. Although we’d used another company for hose other issues in the past, from Snap’s reviews and website it seemed like a better choice. We called Joe, who came as soon as possible, when we were all available. He did an external inspection and, on entering the house asked if this one particular spot in the house was where we’d been noticing the activity. He asked because he had spotted what was the likely hole outside. He was absolutely right. He filled the hole outside, addressed the inside of the house, and will be back two more times to check on things. So far - fingers crossed - he’s fixed it already. But knowing that he’ll be back to make sure is an enormous comfort. We are extremely pleased!

We have used SWAT three times for different wildlife issues over the years (raccoons under our back deck, birds in our exhaust vents, squirrels in the chimney ...maybe we should move...). So, when our neighbours' shed had raccoons in it, and we noticed some entry holes were on the side of the shed that runs along our side of the backyard, we recommended SWAT. Randy was excellent - professional, exacting, and courteous. He inspected the inside of the shed to verify that the raccoons were not currently present. He then spent a long time in the hot sun digging and partially burying fencing along the perimeter of the shed that was vulnerable to further entry. We hope that this is the last time SWAT is needed; but, if we ever do have any further wildlife concerns, they will be the ones we call again.

Johnny first attended at our house back in January, to remove two raccoons who had recently made their den under our back deck. He installed a mesh barrier with a one-way door. He later came back to remove the one-way door and covered that spot with further mesh. When we had a snowfall several days later, we knew that the measures had been successful when we saw two sets of tracks walking to the entry point, pacing around the spot, and then walking away (we like to think) disheartened. This past week, we called SWAT again to see about removing two birds who had begun to build a nest in one of our exhaust vents. After checking to make sure that no eggs had yet been laid, Johnny removed the nest, and covered the vent with mesh. On both occasions, we were very pleased with the convenience and responsiveness of SWAT – they were able to schedule both of the attendances at the earliest time that we were available. Johnny was extremely professional, thorough, and efficient. We would highly recommend SWAT for any of their services; and are especially pleased that they are a humane company.

We found Derek's Tree Service on this website; and, just like the other reviews, we were extremely satisfied with the service provided! We had recently moved into our home and noted that both the front and back trees - each 100+ year-old giants - had a lot of dead branches. Derek came to our house within a few days of our initial call for an estimate. What he provided as an estimate was extremely reasonable given the scale of the work. One week later, Derek and his crew attended at our house and performed an exceptional job at removing the deadwood that overhung both my property, as well as my neighbours'. There were a large number of tight areas, with power and phone lines at risk; but, Derek's team skillfully navigated those perils. On Derek's recommendation, the large limb from which most of the dead branches stemmed was cut back to the trunk. As the 600 lb limb was being sawed for removal, a large colony of carpenter ants was exposed inside. Had Derek not recommended the removal of that branch, there could have been substantial casualty or property damage. Suffice it to say, his recommendation was spot-on. Our neighbours and we are very satisfied with the work performed; and would highly recommend Derek's Tree Service.

We called T.J. after inheriting a loveseat and dining room set. The bones of the furniture were perfect for our home; but the fabric was very dated (as it turned out, T.J. found shredded newspapers from the 1930s inside the loveseat, from when it was last (re)upholstered). On searching this site for an upholsterer, it was clear that T.J.'s was the company to use. We were not disappointed! T.J. and his colleagues were prompt and always professional. They picked up our furniture from our home. We met T.J. later at the store to choose from a wide selection of fabrics. We asked if it was possible to have the loveseat redone within a tight timeline, for a party we were hosting. To our very pleasant surprise, it was completed within two weeks, which was three weeks earlier than we had asked! Most importantly, the quality of the work was excellent. The final price was precisely the same as what was estimated. We cannot say enough good things! My only regret is that it took me three months to write this review (sorry, T.J.!).
