'Jay', I think this is his name, was absolutely thorough in his inspection and cleaning of the A/C and checking on the efficiency of the furnace, and for levels of various gas, particularly carbon monoxide, emissions, etc. While you may think that this is what these service technicians do, I have found that in our years of being customers of Enercare (previously Direct Energy) almost all them are excellent techs. That I have singled out 'Jay' as he seemed one who is exceptional. He was fully engaged in the way he went about his tasks, was in no rush (as sometimes happens) and gave me a thorough debriefing of his findings both fro the furnace and A/C. He was also courteous, and punctual and knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. Thank you. Another thing occurred while he was here: he had a call asking him if he could possibly take on an extra job although his visit to our house was his last assigned for the day. It had a sound of some urgency to it and Jay did not hesitate to accept it - with a smile. Now, that's service! And an endorsement for the company he works for. Betty

Our laundry area was the only part of our 38 year-old house that remained unfinished, with a well-worn washtub, exposed rafters and furnace ducts above which were stored scrolls of paintings, architectural plans, and anything else that needed storing for the time being! The floor paint had peeled over the years and needed repainting, walls finished, etc. BestCan, whose references from a couple of neighbours, were highly complimentary, I did not hesitate to contact Bill whose crew came round to provide an estimate for the work and suggestions which met our approval. Within a couple of weeks the laundry room was transformed into a light, bright and more functional area that gave my spirits a lift each time I went down to the laundry room. Access to the storage area beneath the stairs ("the Glory hole") was widened and a slot-in-place closure made for it. Another storage area, was also created which permitted easy access to its shelves. The whole job was well done and I am pleased and satisfied with the result. The only area I would have liked to have had different would have been to be given a better choice than only three colours of to choose from. Nevertheless, I have every confidence in recommending BestCan for their dedication to providing very good, proficient services, and for their dedicated, competent, courteous and tidy staff. And it is a Canadian company! The garage door was installed two weeks later and this was a first-class job with an updated, easier to raise & lower and perfect colour match with contrast framing. Direct Energy sent an email confirming the appointment. The technician telephoned shortly before arrival and told us he would be here within a few minutes (we had asked for an early time within the service time period, if possible). He arrived when he said he would, and it was very early within the time slot (much appreciated). The work was done quickly and efficiently, with great courtesy. Thank you.

I would like to commend the operator Denise, from my first call in for her conscientiousness and observance in the execution of her duties. I was also impressed with the technician Rob, for his knowledge and expertise, he explained how the updated high-efficiency furnaces work and helped us in an approachable way.
