I was very worried to have my daughter's baby grand piano moved from Northern Ontario to Toronto. I had used Braymore before with great success so I thought I would hire them again. They did a terrific job moving the piano. They came in prepared, covered the floors so they wouldn't track in anything from outside. They took amazing care taking the baby grand apart and moving it 500 miles to it's new home in Toronto. And they also did a great job reassembling the piano in Toronto. From beginning to end I had a positive experience with Braymore and would seriously not use anyone else to have a piano moved. Thank you so much Braymore.

I have tried a few cleaning services in the past and was just about to give up when I found "Hire A Maid." From the initial conversation I had with Tammy dealing with this company was a positive experience. We have used Hire A Maid a few times now and I know we will use them many more. The staff cleans the apartment until they are satisfied with every aspect of their work. The last time they came I had to stay at the apartment so it was interesting to see the process. I have to say they were cleaning until the moment they shut the door on their way out, it was really impressive. Then the next day I had a follow up call from Tammy which is another nice touch. I own a business myself and know how difficult it can be ..the owner of this company deserves a lot of credit. Highly recommend this cleaning service!

I enjoy finding a store that is a little different than most and Romancing the Home is certainly that. I would recommend going to the Danforth if for no other reason than going to this store. They have a nice selection of home accessories from pillows, glasses, some furniture pieces and so forth. It's a great store to shop for an item that you want to stand out in your home and build on a theme around that item. I bought a wonderful small covered plant holder that is one of my favorite items in our home.

Dexterity is a great store to find unique items for your home. I noticed the gorgeous window displays of the store, while walking along Queen Street one day. The staff is very helpful and went out of their way for me. The store is packed with furniture, home accessories and also has a great selection of Memory Blocks. I was pleasantly surprised to come across this store recently and I have already been back. If you like to find objects or furniture for your home that are a little but different I would recommend Dexterity.

Williams-Sonoma has several locations in Toronto. Recently I had the pleasure of shopping at their store at the Eaton Centre. There is a great selection at this store, of pretty much everything you could possibly want for your kitchen. A few months ago we purchased a blender there and we are very pleased with the quality of it. I am sure it will last for many years. A few weeks ago while shopping at Williams-Sonoma I found these great porcelain candle holders imported from Italy. I have never seen candle holders like it anywhere. They are a great addition to our kitchen, however they would work well in any room in the house. One of the reasons I enjoy shopping at Williams-Sonoma so much is I am always pleasantly surprised at the items I find here. It is also a great place to shop for specialty food items that make for great gifts. As well, the customer service they provide is excellent.

I was shopping on Queen Street West, one Sunday afternoon when I spotted Chatelet. This gorgeous little boutique is the ultimate Shabby Chic Store in the city of Toronto. The store is jam packed with mirrors, chandeliers, bits of furniture, prints, shelves and so much more. The day we stopped in there was a young woman working there who was so very helpful, nice and not pushy in any way. She also mentioned to us that they have a seamstress on site that makes drapes etc. While we were at Chatelet we picked up two matching venetian mirror shelves that I have not seen any where else. They also sell wrought iron chairs and accessories. This store really is a great find in Toronto and I am very much looking forward to going back soon. If you are into Shabby Chic I would highly recommend checking out this store. Also, if you are looking for an item that will be a great conversation piece in your home, regardless of your decorating style Chatelet would be a great starting point.

La Boutique Parpar is absolutely my favorite new store in Toronto. The merchandise this store offers will compliment any style of home decor. I especially like the shabby chic and french country inspired items. Their home accessories vary from the exceedingly elegant to a more casual look. Every corner of the store is filled with articles including magazine racks, candle holders, china pieces, doormats, paper roses and much more. It is a lovely little shop where you can treat yourself to a comfty housecoat, a chic kitchen apron, a pink girlie pajama bag or soap and bath products. There are also many fabulous items which would make the perfect gift for any special occasion. As an added bonus, there is an amazing selection of the most gorgeous greeting cards. I so enjoy the time I spend shopping at Parpar and I can't wait to go back. One more point I would like to mention, is the nice young lady that has assisted me in the store is very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. Thank you for reading this review.

Last summer we stopped at Elte to purchase some bedroom lamps. By the time we left the store we had purchased the lamps, two bar stools, a bedroom chair, a side chair and two desks. I knew what type of lamps I wanted and I saw them right away. We walked around the store and found many items we had on our on- going list. The shopping there is just so easy we decided to purchase the items while we had the opportunity. The prices in the store are not inexpensive however the quality is very superior and I always figure you get what you pay for. The store is jammed full of bedding, rugs, lamps, furniture (every type under the sun) and many home accessories. It even has a section of antiques. The store really is a dream and just writing about it here makes me want to go back. I enjoy shopping at Elte because they have an amazing selection and you can't help but find what you are looking for, and then some. The best part is many of their items are very unique and make a real statement in your home. The store is well laid out, bright and very large. The sales clerks are very knowledgeable and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Elte for your high end furniture needs. I love that you can find everything you are looking for under one roof, saving you much time! If you do not normally shop for furniture in high end type stores I would splurge for a special item here, every now and again. Your house will look extraordinary, by adding any item from Elte.

I love this store! I first started shopping here a few years ago, and now every time I visit Toronto I stop in at Putti. It is an amazing store that has a mix of home accessories, some furniture, plus a collection of European Antiques. There are lovely side tables, small curio cabinets, antique chairs and chandeliers. The store has added a lot of charm to our home, from the many items I have picked up there over the years. I have never visited the store and left empty handed. I especially like their perfume bottles, sachets, soaps and candles. Usually when I stop in I find a little surprise that they didn't have the time before. Every space in this store has something special to offer. They have a lovely selection of extremely unique ribbons, paper and cards tucked away in one corner. I have purchased everything from decorative candy dishes to mirrors to frames to the sweetest little guest towels I have ever seen. I always find the staff to be friendly, helpful and polite. If you are buying a gift the staff will do up the present in a pink paper presentation bag with pretty pink ribbons. I am so pleased to have found this store as just looking around our home, brings a smile to my face when I look at the gorgeous items we have brought home from Putti! I had been searching for a white sofa and chair and could not find what I wanted. Many sets were either quite large or off-white. I was prepared to wait for the perfect one that would be ideal for our sitting room. When we thought we had exhausted all our possibilities, I remembered reading an article about a store called Ridpath's. I called for directions and within a few minutes I was looking at our dream sofa and chair. I also spotted a lovely settee which was just a little bit different from the countless settees I have seen before. We ended up purchasing the settee as well. The quality of the furniture at Ridpath's is superior, compared to many other stores we had visited. I especially like the fact that the pieces we bought are quite unique I found the store to be easy to browse around in and the woman that helped us was very nice, professional and not pushy in any way. She offered suggestions when it was appropriate. (Such as mentioning the ottoman which we had never even considered). The furniture had to be ordered as the floor set was their last one. The sofa, chair and ottoman came in within 8 weeks, just as promised. We have had many compliments on the furniture we purchased at Ridpath's. The furniture is holding up very well and I feel the prices we paid were very reasonable for the top notch quality. From now on Ridpath's will be our first choice when buying furniture and I would highly recommend you making Ridpath's your first choice also.

This past fall we decided to redecorate our bedroom. It started out as a small job ...as so many do, however it ended up turning into a full blown renovation from top to bottom. (As so many do!) For our lighting needs, originally, we had several table lamps in the room. After some time passed we realized the room just wasn't bright enough and we really missed having a light fixture in the ceiling. After the remodelling was complete we set out on a mission to find a light fixture that would complete the room, as well as tie all the elements of the room together. We visited several lighting stores without success. Then, I did some research on line and read about Royal Lighting. The next day we visited the store and soon after we found the light we had been searching for. There are literally thousands of light fixtures to choose from in every shape, color, material and price range available. The light we decided on is a gorgeous ceiling fixture made up of crystals and has one larger crystal hanging from the very bottom. The best part of the light fixture besides it's obvious beauty is the fact that it is close enough to the ceiling giving considerable clearance when walking under it. The store itself is phenomenal, the staff very helpful and we have no complaints about our shopping experience there. I would not hesitate to recommend Royal Lighting. When first entering Au Lit you are greeted by the friendly staff. You can not help but notice that several items in the store from the bedding, dressers, linens etc. are white. The store itself is quite large, very bright, clean and crisp looking. Au Lit has a wide selection of products for your bedroom and bath area. Venetian mirrors, framed prints, lamps, ceiling light fixtures, candle holders, and soap dishes are just a few of the many gorgeous accessories. If you like the French Country or Shabby Chic look or if you wish to purchase good quality sheets or towels I suggest checking out Au Lit.

Caban is a great store to shop in, if you want to add a unique touch to your home. Their items will fit into any style of home, from modern to a more traditional look. I really like the many white accessories available in the store for this season. There is also, a selection of acrylic furniture that is very stylish at the moment. The acrylic chairs are a great conversation piece for any room. As well, I have recently noticed a line of bath products, creams, soaps etc. It makes it nice that you can pick up so many items for all your needs in this one store. The dining room tables are also worth a look and last time I was in the store I saw the nicest white leather dining room chairs, and even the legs of the chair were covered in leather. I have never seen that look before, and it really works. I enjoy all my shopping experiences at Caban and find the quality of all the items I have purchased, very high.
