Bath Fitters provides excellent and quick pre-sales support. I submitted a request online and within a day or two they had already called me to schedule an in-home consultation.
However, don't expect the same type of follow-up support or communication from them after you've signed and paid, which is odd as this is one of the most important times to ensure the sale goes through and the installation is successfully completed.
Soon after I signed the sales representative promised he would call me the following day to schedule the installation. Two days came and went and no call from him. A bit annoying, but not a big deal at that time. I decided to call and confirm the appointment. He apologized for not calling me back and confirmed the appointment, which was about 4/5 weeks out. He also mentioned one of his schedulers would call me to confirm the appointment prior to the date he provided.
I decided to take the day-off, based on the date he provided, to ensure I could be onsite to supervise the work. 3 weeks passed and still no call from a scheduler, so again I had to call and confirm the appointment (I was a bit more annoyed now because I felt that if they promise to call it's not very difficult to pick-up the phone and confirm the appointment with their customers). To my surprise the sales rep provided me the incorrect date, and the installation was rather scheduled during a time that I was supposed to be out of town. I left two voice messages with the local manager to see if we could work something out, but unfortunately I still have not heard from him. How hard is it to call a customer back?
I decided to rather adjust my travel dates and accept the new date. Everything is installed now and I am quite satisfied with the product, but I am definitely not looking forward to the level of follow-up support provided by Bath Fitters. If I were to go back in time, knowing what I know now, I would have most definitely chosen a different company.
I am still chasing to get my deposit back a month after the work was completed... I have a feeling this will require a few onsite visits to their Calgary office.
Like I mentioned I am satisfied with the product, but not excited about the follow-up support. Companies today need to learn that as good as it is to get a sale, it is even more important to win a customer referral/reference. I have a lot of friends that could use bathtub upgrades, but I am definitely not going to recommend Bath Fitters to them.
Cheers and good luck with your project!
