We ordered 2 huge (floor to ceiling) insulated 3-pane windows. They were delivered and installed as promised. Good prices, a little higher than some of the competition, but negotiable. High quality materials. I had the impression that the installation team "cut some corners", but the performance over the winter season has been exceptional, so I'm satisfied.

Good prices. Quick response times. OK quality. There has been an issue with the sales representative that I signed the contract with. But when I notified the head office, the owner promptly stepped in and took care of the situation.

The main advantage is the affordable price, and responsiveness. Visually, the new paint looks good. However there were quite a few issues: - Rather cheap base - 24hours curing epoxy. The resulting layer is very thin and slippery. - Did not take out the drain (only covered it with paper). - Only did caulking after a follow-up call (IMHO a contractor should do the work end-to-end). - Did not sand the lower end of the bathtub skirt; as a result the paint there chips off easily. He came on time. The entire job took ~3 hours. He left a rather clean work area (everything covered with paper, that was easy to remove). Overall it was a rather cheap deal, borderline acceptable quality.

A nice guy taking good care of a chimney. The list of services: - Chimney sweep. - Change top flue tile. - Patchwork. - New crown. - New cap. - Water repellent (not sure if I needed this, but it was recommended by Sherman so I accepted). Everything done in ~3 hours. The reason why I gave 8/10 is the price. No matter how you put it, 1050$ is a lot of cash for 3 hours of work and <150$ worth of materials.

I'll start with the good parts: A competitive price (not the lowest, but in-line with the market). Quick (one day) installation. The new roof looks great from the curb. And awesome manufacturer warranty. Still, we had a few bumps on the road: First, there was some junk in the gutters. When I pointed that out, the guys cleaned it up. I found the (previous owner's) satellite dish, that was fixed on the roof before, hanging by its cable on the downspout. I don't need that dish, so I took it off. It would have been nice for them to ask what to do with it. I discovered a few other small issues with soffit vents and baffles, that were promptly fixed after talking with Scott. All-in-all, the guys did a good job re-shingling the roof. But it felt like the team could give more attention to the details. I would probably recommend this team for most of your roofing needs. Just make sure you check the end result and ask your questions if you're not happy about a particular thing.

Thank you Alex for your business and taking the time to write about our company. We were happy to help you in the attic, re-connecting the exhaust fan hoses to the roof exhaust vents and drilling the holes needed to connect these hoses to the fans. After a few items had been overlooked in the darkness, we appreciated your call and the opportunity to promptly correct the items. I am a happy to report a job well done. All the best Alex. Thank you!

Awesome home inspector. We booked on a really short notice, and he made everything possible to have the inspection performed in time. Michael did a thorough inspection that took more than 3 hours. An infrared inspection was also performed and included in the quoted price. We were provided a timely 100+ pages report the next morning (~15 hours after the inspection). Strongly recommend!

Thank you Alex. We always strive to accommodate your needs for timing. In this case we were lucky to have a free appointment when you needed it. I do apologize for the report taking so long. It is always supposed to go out the same day as the inspection but this one was delayed. I do hope you enjoy your new home. Thank you again. Michael Mischke. 4sight Inspections Inc.

I booked the duct clean-up calling 519-804-7168. I was then called back from 647-483-6063. The next day they sent this guy: Hassib, while seemingly competent and knew what he was doing, did a really superficial duct cleaning job. His assistant was much worse. I was quite busy that morning, so wasn't supervising them all the time. They used compressed air to blow the vents and an outside truck vacuum hooked to the main line for suction. The vacuum seemed to be not powerful enough, so they made some real mess in the basement, and offered to vacuum it when asked about it. I didn't really care about that, as the basement is not finished. Then the took care of my vacuum & drier. Nothing fancy here - air under pressure and some vacuuming. Not sure if they cleaned the furnace at all, as haven't seen them taking the blower out. And they never cleaned the return registers. Everything took ~2 hours. When I found out that the registers were dirty, I called Hassib, complained about the poor job done by his assistant and politely asked him to come over and finish the job. He refused and directed me to call Toronto Breeze Cleaners, claiming that it's their problem and gave this phone no. 647-479-5878. After several unsuccessful tries to talk with the office, I decided it's a dead end. Now for the bill: Hassib said that the advertised price of $120 only covers main ducts cleaning, not the return duct. So he wanted $150 extra for the return duct and furnace cleaning. $50 for snake-camera inspection. In the end I payed $350 for all ducts, central vacuum and drier clean-up. He also advertised a washable electro-static filter (for $95) and told me that he can perform furnace inspection, so he left a number to call him back (647-833-3304). I think that people, like him and these companies, operating in such bad faith should be ashamed of what they are doing. And I'm mad that I didn't properly do my research before hiring or paying them. PS: It looks like he is also affiliated with Ambience Heating & Cooling Solutions Inc (ambiencesolutions.ca, 1-855-330-HVAC, 647-978-4822).
