In August my wife and I noticed that all of our boxwoods suddenly died, due to a boxwood worm infestation. We decided to have them removed and replace with other shrubs and at the same time do some much needed bush reshaping and tree trimming. I contacted five different tree/gardening services for a quotation. Tree Effects was not the cheapest and not the most expensive either. I liked what Mark recommended and his background qualifications. Jennifer was very professional and we were able to settle on a contract to get the work done. Tree Effects came out on the scheduled date, did a great job and Mark explained what I needed to do to maintain the new shrubs and took me around my property explaining everything that was done. They left the property completely cleaned up. We are very satisfied with their work and will be happy to recommend them to our friends and family.

We had a wasp nest that was located inside the siding underneath our bay window at the front of the house and next to the entrance. I called Power Pest Control (largely based on the HomeStars rating). Peter came to house, explained the possible scenarios for addressing the problem and how he was going to approach. He was very thorough and professional. He removed the nest and suggested what we need to do to avoid the re-occurrence of the situation. This is our second experience with Fortress Windows & Doors. Water was starting to come into our house through our upstairs Bay Window. Both the Steves came out to assess the situation and we ended up installing new eaves and downspouts. Stephen Mercer's response to resolving our problem was extremely quick and within a week of contacting them the new eaves and spouts were installed. Stephen understood the urgency of the situation. Needless to say my wife and I are very pleased with the workmanship and service provided and the price was competitive with another company. We would, will and have recommended Fortress Windows & Doors to others.

I needed to have the thermal cartridge in a shower replaced and have the thermal cartridge in my other shower adjusted because it was not properly installed by another plumber. I contacted one very well known plumbing company and their quote (not including the cartridge) was outrageous. I called Aviv Plumbing at the recommendation of a friend. The quote given was very reasonable for the work to be done. The plumber who did the work was friendly and made sure that settings were done to my preference. The whole experience from my initial call to the completion and payment for the work was very positive. I highly recommend Aviv Plumbing, the price is fair and the service is outstanding.

The brick work was severely deteriorated below two of our windows. I called Bill at The Chimney Company because of the great work he had done for us in the past, replacing our chimney. Bill recommended a very affordable and a longer lasting solution to our masonry problem. Bill and his crew were fast, efficient and friendly and left the work place spotless. I would highly recommend Bill for any masonry or chimney work that anyone needs to be done.

Our back deck/balcony was in sorry need of replacing. Alec came over to our house, pointed out areas of the deck that were no longer up to code and then showed us pictures on his notepad of his work and different options that we had. He priced out each option and explained the pros and cons of each. At the end we felt he allowed us to make an informed decision. Alex and his crew were courteous, friendly and professional and the work they did met all our expectations. I would highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

We had water coming into our bedroom and lower floor through the window area during the heavy June storms. I contacted Fortress and they quickly came out to assess the situation. The work was done in a timely fashion and was very professional. Both Steve's (sales and installation) were great to deal with and very honest about what needed to be done and what was not necessary. The workmanship was excellent and we have not experienced any problems since. I strongly recommend them to anyone and would personally use them again.
