My dryer, while not completely broken, was well on its way to being broken, based on the crazy sounds it had started making. I called Atop Appliances on a Thursday and they were able to come on Friday morning. They called me before they arrived just as they said they would, and arrived on time. The gentleman who came were pleasant, explained everything, worked quickly and charged what they said they'd charge. (Also, they totally could have taken all the loonies and toonies they found in my dryer, but they didn't. ) Would definitely use again.

Highly recommend this company. Excellent, professional customer service, starting from the person on the phone right down to the roofer himself, whose name was Kas (really great guy). The problem I had -- loose fascia -- was fixed quickly.

I bought a deal through one of those daily-deal emails. It was for eavestrough cleaning and a roof inspection. I really didn't want the inspection, just the cleaning. One of the reviews here on homestars said that this company gets on your roof, then finds other problems to try to upsell you, so I was basically sitting by my phone at work, waiting for them to call. And...that's what happened. They called to say the cleaning was done, but that I needed some caulking done on the roof, and that the eavestrough wasn't properly attached and needed some work, and the guys said he "got special permission from my office to do the work now at a special price." Gimme a break. I had someone up on my roof recently and they found no problems at all. The house is 9 years old. I'm not saying this company was flat-out conning me. I don't know that for sure. But it does seem suspicious. My guess is that the $59 deal is a loss leader for them, and they need to upsell in order to make a profit. This strategy probably works on most people. That said: they arrived on time and the staff were friendly. And $59 for the cleaning is a good price.

I pay about $180 per year to have this company check my home for termites. For 4 years in a row, they found nothing and I started to wonder if I was wasting my money. But year 5, they found termites. I could see them too. They said they'd have to come back and treat them. I groaned. "How much is this gonna cost?" "Nothing!" they said. It was free because of the annual policy I had out. Had I not had the policy, it would have cost $2,500. The guys who came to do the treatment were super nice, on time and professional. They explained everything to me and weren't annoyed by some inconveniences they encountered that were my fault (long story). Anyway, if you have termite issues, this is a trustworthy company.

The painters at English Painter were on time, did excellent work (and I mean flawless) and the price was fair, based on research I did. I've used this company twice and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. Polite and responsive office staff, professional and talented painters.

This company did a good job repairing a leak in my roof. The staff were very professional, explained everything, gave me before and after shots and didn't charge me more than they said they would. Workmanship appears excellent.

Troy was professional, prompt and went the extra mile -- e.g., sent me photos of my roof so I could see exactly where the squirrels were coming in. I highly recommend this company.
