HARGTA repaired our dishwasher. After some effort it was agreed it would be covered under warranty (Samsung). I was told, by HARGTA, that the $124.30 call-out fee would also be covered, and therefore refunded to us. After almost three months (with multiple calls and emails) I finally received a call where I was told they just needed a credit card # and it would be done ASAP. Over a month later now and still no refund. Seems someone will always answer the line for new work (eventually), but no-one responds to emails, or voicemails to the common voicemail box, and you can't leave one in the parts or accounting mailboxes as they are always full (and no-one ever answers). Pure frustration in trying to get HARGTA to honour their commitment process a simple call-out fee refund. Note: the actual technicians (multiple) involved in the repair were always personable and professional. And, one of the early folks we dealt with seemed to put some genuine effort into resolving the warranty process. That's why this isn't a zero.

I found Sande online, checked his reviews on Homestars and gave him a call. All those "10" reviews are justified! He called back quickly, was onsite within a day, did a thorough inspection including pictures to show us (good thing as I wasn't climbing up on the roof in the cold and snow...which he seems happy to do!), gave a breakdown of options and pricing with a recommendation, and then promptly executed it. As a bonus, we also got to see video of him coaxing one of our raccoon "tenants" out the one-way door. He was responsive to follow-up concerns on the second raccoon that took a little longer to leave. And when, only a few days later, a squirrel chewed its way in to takeover the now vacant attic - he promptly dealt with that as well, even proactively offering a reduced cost because it was so soon (even though it was a new animal and a new problem and he could just as easily have treated it that way). As an added bonus, he has done some minor roof repairs while he was up there at fair prices! Overall, a great guy who believes in providing reliable, prompt, courteous, and fair service.

Hopefully the wildlife gives you a break and doesn't break back in through the old boards making up the roofline.
