The work was neatly done and good job on the installation. Professional staff. Took 8 hours which seemed long but the technician was talking his time to make sure everything was ok so i didn't mind. He didn't cut corners like previous companies I've had experience with (ie. He installed an intake line when other company didn't bother). Would recommend.

We called 3 companies when our furnace broke. SHC charged us $230 service call/diagnostics then additional $620parts + installation - for something that wasn't the problem at all. I posted a negative review here and fortunately received calls from both owner and VP. They seemed sincere and apologetic about our bad experience and refunded our money. I appreciated the personal calls and the genuine concern over the quality of the service we received. It's helped alleviate most of the sting but we probably will not use or recommend this company again.

What could this company do to improve their services?
We were taken aback with the condescending humour from the emergency technician - as well as the obvious repair misdiagnosis. Company should ensure their techs are mindful of the stressful situations they are called upon in these instances. We used the after hours service when we had no heat during the extreme cold alert this winter. In no way was his joke about needing a magic wand to fix the broken furnace appropriate when our 2 very young kids were sitting in the house freezing.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Get a second opinion - it saved us probably $1000.
