Great Job! Scarborough home.

Our flat roof had a leak about 6 years ago and we got it fixed by a smaller company for a cheap price. This year it started leaking again and in more than one location. I called up 3 companies to get quotes. One of which was another smaller company that offered a cheap price again. One was one of the larger companies, but they didn't even return my call. MegaCity was the third company. They got back to me promptly, set up an appointment conveniently, and showed up on on time (bright and early at 8am!). Though their estimate was definitely not the cheapest, it was thorough, thoughtful, and fair for the amount of work that needed to be done. After signing off on the contract, Tom came to do a few quick patch ups before the actual job. We needed to wait quite awhile for the actual job to get started, but as mentioned in other reviews, the wait was reasonable considering it was a rainy summer and there were many jobs lined up in front of us. Communication was always comfortable and reassuring. Once the job was started in September, the team was proficient, respectful, and accommodating. The team found that the previous company that fixed our roof actually layered on top of the our older roof rather than removing and replacing. MegaCity found rotten materials and joists under all the extra layers of roofing that all needed to be replaced. They were very helpful in recommending what needed to be done and were reasonable in working around the unaccounted-for-costs. We watched them remove, if I recall properly, over 10 tons of waste from our roof. We were grateful for calling them in rather than the smaller cheaper company as that company would have very likely just have layered on more layers rather than replacing, adding even more weight to the already damaged roof. After the job was almost done, they let me climb up and have a look. They explained to me in detail what was done, and what it used to look like by comparing to our semi-detached neighbour (whose roof felt quite spongy). They did a great job of cleaning up and even took pictures of the final product for us such that we could be confident that our investment was well worthwhile. My family agrees with me, the price was worth it for the amount and quality of work done and for the excellent customer service. Thanks MegaCity!
