I ordered a new tank through Rona and used their install service, which is Quick Contractors and they farm the work out to various service providers. In my case they sent Premiere Comfort Solutions to do the job. At the beginning all was fine. They drained my tank, disconnected it and moved it to one side. They brought the new tank downstairs strapped to a dolly. They took their shoes of because it was mucky out but did not clean the dolly wheels so mud got tracked through the house and down the carpeted stairs. The technician, seemed nice enough and started to position the new tank. The new tank has an intake vent on the back which prevented it from taking the same footprint as the old tank which did not have the vent. I could see that he was going to have to do some modifications which the contract with Rona allowed for. When the job was completed I express my dissatisfaction with the workmanship as he did not do any modifications and his job was not to code. I contacted Rona, who sent out a different company. They undid everything that Premium had done and did the job correctly

Kindly be advised that Premium Comfort Solutions was not engaged for the aforementioned services. Another company, dispatched by Rona, carried out the installation to your contentment and in compliance with regulations. Therefore, we regret to inform you that our access is restricted, hence we recommend liaising with the company you directly contracted. For any additional support required, please do not hesitate to contact our office as we are dedicated to assisting customers and value their experience greatly.

My house is about 27 years old and still had the original builders wood frame windows which I have painted and caulked more times than I care to remember. Being retired now and looking to the future I didn't want to continue this level of maintenance in the years to come. Especially sine my house is two stories. The difficulty in finding a reputable window company thus began. What I discovered in my research was that most of the companies out there look good but do not manufacture their own product. They, therefore are just installers. I did consider fiberglass but the cost was about 25% more than vinyl and the product did not seem to justify the difference. When I came across Clera I was impressed with the length of time that they have been in business, the fact that they manufacture there own product and the lifetime guarantee. My installation was brick to brick as I did not see the point in spending all that money and ending up with the old wood frames still in place and 10% or so less glass area. It took two days to complete the job as I had all of the windows, including the basements replaced in a 2500 square foot house. The job was done completely to mine and my wifes' satisfaction. The installers treated my home as they would there own. They were polite and courteous. One of the things that was important to me was to also have window sills installed and Clera was able to do that. Most other companies did not offer that option. It has really changed the look of the windows from the inside and is more classic than just framing the window like a picture. Bottom line....I feel my money was well spent and I would recommend their services.
