Chris from 1 Computer came over to my place on time and spent a little over an hour tuning up my computer. Apparently the antivirus program was corrupted so Chris uninstalled it and installed a newer version and did a few other things. He explained everything as he went along and I was very pleased with the service. I've had other people over from time to time and they charged a lot more. Will deal with them again for sure.
Robert from Al Miley & Associates was very professional. Within one day he was over at our house and did a quote for tree pruning. It was a very small job and I'm glad he agreed to do it. The quote was very fair and within 2 days the crew was here with their truck and it took them about 1.5 hours to do some pruning. They swept up well and I was very pleased with everything about Al Miley and Associates from start to finish.

I phoned The Appliance Service People the other day to look at my clothing laundry machine. They had previously serviced my fridge and did a good job so I assumed they would do a good job on the washing machine. Not so. Simon dropped by and stayed a total of five minutes, maybe less. He said that it needed $800 worth of parts and labour and not to bother. He said it was too old to service and that I should get a new machine somewhere. Then after that I called up another repair company and they dropped by 2 days later and fixed up the machine. It is working well now. Maybe Simon was having a bad day? Maybe he's been at this job too long? Hard to tell. They do a good job on fridges so I will stick to fridge repair with this company.
Laundry Washer repair, terrific
Vincent from T&D Appliances came over to my place to look at the clothes washer which was giving off a very loud sound . He did a tuneup, He did some adjustments and repairs and the machine is working beatifully. Thank you Vincent. Two days prior I had another appliance service repair place come in and the person said it needed $800 worth of parts and labour and he said it was not worth his while to do it since the machine was too old. He said to go to Home Depot to buy a new one. I'm so glad I did not buy another one and that T&D was able to fix this up . It's about 20 yrs old and might last a while longer. Who knows.
drain clearing, kitchen, bathroom
Great Service. Flavio came by on the day I phoned and cleared out 2 drains, one in kitchen and one in bathroom. He replaced necessary parts and the charges were reasonable considering the amount of time he spent here. He was courteous and very congenial. Will definatly ask Flavio the next time things need to be done.

Kevin and his crew did a great job on my 12x12 cedar deck. They spent 2 days here and did a marvellus job. Very efficient and they cleaned up all the debris afterwards. Would not hesitate to have future work done by them.

Jim and his crew did a great job as always. We have hired them before at out other house. Unfortunately, after the job a few of our treasured things were missing from our garage where the crew stored their gear overnight.We have never had theft of any kind at our house and the treasured items were definately there before the crew started and were gone after the job was finished. Jim asked his crew and they denied taking anything of course. The waterproofing job was impecable but unfortunately I can recommend t hem only if you do not let them into garage.
I had a problem with high magnetic fields in the basement due to the return wires being grounded to the water pipe. This resulted in high magnetic fields which I measured with a gaussmeter. Michael installed a dielectric coupler on the outside of the house in contact with the water pipe and after that the magnetic fields went right down in the entire house. Michael is probably the only electrician in Toronto who is aware of the dangers of high magnetic fields. Electrians are not trained in this area. I would highly recommend Michael.
Micheal from Dupont Heating came to clean furnace. He spent about 1/2 hour doing this. He did a check list of everything he did: thermostat operating, checked venting, piping, burners, cleaned blower and checked operating, checked heat exchanger, filters checked. and CO levels He said the furnace was working well and that I did not need a new one for a while. Very satisfield with the work.
We recently had Evergreen Construction do waterproofing on one side of our house. Although it took about 2 weeks since they were doing another job they did a great job. They were very careful in excavating. It was a tough job because they had to take apart cement before they even started excavating. Three men worked on the job. They explained exactly what was happening as they were going along. We were very pleased with the work and there is a 20 yr. guarantee. They have been in business for about a dozen years and they do commercial as well as residential. We had Evergreen waterproof our other house as well and the person who did the inspection before we sold the house said they did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them.
