HK from Burlington

We live in SE Burlington. We had had quite a lot of flying ants for 2-3 weeks. Soon, apparently, to become carpenter ants! Our various amateur methods did not work. Desperate one Sunday, we called a couple of places. Pestend answered in person, even on a Sunday. Alex, their technician came at 11:30 am the NEXT day. He was on time, conscientious, respectful, pleasant, professional and attentive. He carefully explained things to us, and also, gave us a couple of prevention tips. After meeting him, we had zero qualms leaving him alone in our home for the almost 2-hour procedure. He left our home very neat. After 2-3 days, the ants were totally gone. A big thank you! We were having problems with a 12-yr old Whirlpool dishwasher. Sears had supposedly "maintained" it, but the problems remained. In retrospect, what Sears had done was band-aid work. In contrast, Steve came over and diagnosed the problems, then asked if we wanted to repair it or buy a new one. We opted for new parts and repairs. He came back just a week later. He was tidy and extremely thorough and conscientious. He spent quite a while painstakingly taking apart the machine and the tubings etc. He also provided us some good information on the correct maintenance. I am a builder's daughter. My Dad was an artisan, Eastern European and he believed that any jo worth doing needed to be a job well done. And so, I have high expectations of people who do work for us! We recently had an issue with an important drain by our back door. Will Groves himself promptly came to check it. And just as promptly, he sent Peter out. Peter did an amazing job. Meticulous, thorough, careful, and neat. He was also pleasant. He told me as he went along what he was doing and I know that he also conferred with Will so that the best solution was found for us. And he cleaned up well after he was done, too. We were both very impressed. It now looks handsome and properly done. We want to share, too, that we find Will Groves to be a man with a great deal of class and a man of impeccable ethics. We have also found his staff to be both friendly and professional.
