We moved into our home 3 years ago, and have had two floods in our basement in that time. After the first flood, we called a local, well known company to come out and diagnose what the problem was. We knew that water was backing up through our drain tile system, but didn't know exactly what the root cause was. After several hours of them poking around, we were told they couldn't figure it out exactly, and that most likely a full replacement of our drain tile system was necessary. Quoted many thousands of dollars. Second opinion sought from another drainage company who had a different opinion as to what might help, but still weren't able to diagnose the root cause. We chose to go with the second option, as it appeared more reasonable at the time. Fast forward one year, flood number two happens. Dumbfounded, we searched for yet another opinion and happen upon Carlo from Westside drainage. He was there the next day. It took him less than five minutes to figure out the problem, and less than ten minutes to expose the faulty connection from the sump to the city drainage line. Wow! His recommendation to change the outgoing drainage line to the city was reasonable in price.....and has worked to solve our problem.
