John came out and quoted my job, and we liked him from the beginning. He's always been punctual, and the project has been on schedule. He has removed a large concrete deck, and has replaced it with a beautiful interlock patio, sloped and graded properly. He was able to accommodate all of our requests, even ones we thought might not be possible. The yard looks beautiful, and we couldn't be happier. We're just in the final stages of finishing the product, but I wanted to get a review up right away.

Marc and his team came and replaced all the wiring in my basement, and replaced/added receptacles, switches, and potlights as necessary. They were very tidy, punctual, and their work was done to, or above code. Marc is a great guy, and is very pleasant to work with. Most importantly, Marc consistently went out of his way to ensure that everything was perfect. The extra effort put in to do things perfectly, and to make the client happy is a real treat compared to many of my other experiences with various trades/service. We couldn't be happier with everything about the job. From start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend Marc and his team to anyone, or to call him again should we need future electrical work performed.

We had probably 10-15 companies come out and quote our roof job, and we were the most impressed with George Kent. They described the job, and possible solutions better than anyone else, and made us feel as comfortable as possible with the work they would perform. Their pricing was very competitive compared to the other quotes. Somewhere on the upper side of the middle of the spectrum, but in hindsight, after seeing the workers complete the job, the value was excellent, and we couldn't be happier. We were able to also get quotes on, or work in the replacements of skylights at the time, topping up of all the attic insulation, as well had them replace an aging sliding glass door to our backyard. The workers that came to do the work were all extremely pleasant, and all very knowledgeable. The worked hard, and you could tell they were all fiscally responsible. They went out of their way to ensure the job was done right, and they seem to stand behind their work, as evident by their extensive warranty. Lots of places offer long warranties like this, but the other companies haven’t all been around as long as George Kent. It helps, knowing that they’ve been around for forever, and I feel that they’ll still be there, 30 years from now, if I have a problem then. I have recommended this company many times already, and I will continue to do so. I know we made the right choice, choosing George Kent for this job. Thanks Paul!

This company was approached by a local pool company to “hook up” a newly purchased pool heater, in a location at my house with an existing gas line. The company arrived at my house, with no notice, and performed the 'work'. Two weeks later they mailed me a bill for 300% OVER the expected cost. They decided on their own, to replace the existing line all together. They decided to have two technicians come out, and spent three hours, allegedly, at my house doing this work. None of this was ever explained to me, nor did they check for authorization to complete this work. They also never explained the extent of the work to the pool company, and did not receive authorization from them either for this ‘extra’ work. I was under the impression this would be a simple hook up, and had never authorized any work beyond that. It has still never been explained to me why I needed a WHOLE new line installed. I assume it has to do with the location in the pool shed where the heater was going, but I would have expected an explanation of additional work, and a price for said work. When I received the bill in the mail, I was unable to even verify that this was the company that performed the work, because they had not placed a tag on the new line they decided to install. After complaining about the lack of tag, they did come back to my house and put a tag on the line. I spoke with the owner of the company to have him explain this bill, and give him an opportunity to try to make this better, but he felt no obligation to reduce the bill, despite admitting that he never acquired authorization. He told me, that a lot of his customers don't care how much things cost. And they just want the job done. He assumed that I was one of those customers. I advised him that I’m not in a position to be so frivolous with money, but he advised me that the work is done now, and he has to pay his guys, so I have to pay him. I have paid him, in full, but will never use this company again, nor would I ever recommend them. I have never had an experience with any other company that communicated so little with the customer, and then felt no need to try to make their customers happy in the end.
