Paul and his team came through for us in a big way, while we prepared to list our home. Our concrete front steps were in rough shape and no condition to made a good first impression. I knew the stone and finishes I wanted and my husband was willing and capable to do them himself, until he injured his hand shortly before the project was supposed to start. I then found a contractor who agreed to do the work at reasonable price, but then his timelines got pushed out 2 weeks with other jobs, past our planned mls date, so I was scrambling to find someone else. I then connected with Paul by email and text and hired him by text within a day after our initial contact. This was NOT normal for me, but I was in a bind, and my gut feel told me it was going to be okay. Paul's communication was prompt and always to the point. His quote was fair, and understanding the timeline constraints we had, he managed to pull his team together between previously scheduled jobs on a long weekend Saturday, and subsequent evening weeknight. To help with the timelines, I offered to coordinate and deliver all the materials to the site and coordinate materials removal, so the contract and quote was labour only. I provided an image of the look I wanted from the Stone-Link catalogue to his team (the same one I emailed to Paul before his quote). Paul's team was organized and ready to work efficiently from the start. Paul checked on them regularly and me, to ensure things were on track and that we were happy with the work. The final product was excellent! My neighbours are also impressed and are still asking about the work we got done. They all have the same steps we do, and are trying to understand how in a day and a half, ours look so much different - much more grande. Even my husband had to admit that the work they completed was beyond his own capabilities as he didn't have the special equipment needed. My steps have gone from being a sale deterrent to a selling feature.... and one of the design features we'll miss most when we move.

We received several quotes for updating a couple of our windows, and we were shocked to see the wide range of quotes. Macro Renovations was the most competitively priced, and also the most professional. Strangely, the company that had the highest quote (3 x more than Macro's quote), was also the most unprofessional - that company's representative was clearly in a sales-only role - he was unable to answer the most basic technical questions. Michael was easy to reach and book an appointment with. On the day of the appointment at our home, he provided a fair and competitive quote on the spot - very professionally typed up and sent by email before the appointment ended. Michael also had a few creative suggestions to accommodate the our needs during the meeting. We were happy to see that Macro's supplier is Window City - our neighbours had the same windows installed a few years ago and they were really happy with them - they are energy efficient. We book the installation for about a month after our appointment date. We're really looking forward to seeing our new windows.

NationWide Aluminum was prompt in returning my calls, booking a site inspection and provided a fair and competitive quote on the spot. Several recommendations were made to accommodate our needs. In addition, we had special requests for a specific trim color. Tony even provided us with a swatch, so that we could get an outdoor paint to match other trim items around the house. On the day of the install, the team was very professional, the work looked great and all clean up around the house was done efficiently. They also offered a 5-year warranty on the work. I never though I'd get excited about eaves and fascia, but the house looks great!

Through our dozens of home projects, I've booked bin disposal services several times, including Junk It once before. My first experience with JunkIt was good, but had tried a couple other local places in an attempt to save a buck. This time, mid-day, we decided to see if we could get a bin for the same day to remove an old rotted deck - Jaime at the Toronto location tried his best to accommodate our last-minute request and came through, and even honoured the $25 online booking discount (since we weren't able to book online for the same day). He was really patient with me on the phone even though I had some distractions when I was on the call. We had booked the bin for 2 days, but we managed to fill it within 2 hours.. called Jaime back, and he made arrangements to have the bin picked up the next day. We were thrilled when the truck arrived the next AM... too many of our neighbours are letting their disposal bins sit on their driveways for weeks... we didn't want to be like them. The driver was quick and professional with both the drop-off and pick-up of the bin. Most of all, we were satisfied with the email confirmations, receipt and prompt communication of the bin weigh-in - The weight communicated seemed just about right for what was in the bin. With other suppliers we've used in the past, we most often felt like the weight was seriously padded, and we'd often been surprised with additional $300-$500 credit card charges (on top of the base bin fee), with no communication on the weight unless we followed up. We will book Junk It again should we need a bin disposal again. They were prompt, efficient, priced competitively and fair.
