When I contacted Miracle Movers they were very courteous on the phone and assured me that the very few contents in my 1 bedroom condo would be an easy straight forward move into my new house. I blindly believed them. That was my first mistake! I was given a quote and they estimated that it would take 3-4 hours to move. I had moved the year prior to that, with the same contents and it took a total of 3 hours from Barrie to Mississauga. So I thought we were good. Well, first of all, one of the guys had BAD B/O! The two guys took they time and carried one small item at a time. I realised they were wasting time, so I inquired as to the hold up. They had an elevator designated to them, but it took them half an hour everytime they took a load to the truck. I called the office to complain about the fact that these guys were wasting time and that since I was paying by the hour, it was not an honest thing to do. The manager said that he would look into it and call me back. he never did! I got a bill for $678, for something that should have cost $450. When I called back to the office, they were of no help whatsoever. I was charged $10. for each roller that they used (which they took back), $10. for each item that they shrink wrapped, and other eroneous charges for nonesense. I WILL NEVER AGAIN USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF RIP OFFS. IF YOU WANT TO GET SCAMMED, THIS IS THE PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. I wrote a letter to the BBB about this incident.

I'd like to ask that you email or call me at 416-855-3068 to have the matter looked into as I am unable to pull up your booking with us based on this review posting date and your name on Home Star.

On a separate note: extra charges (charges that are coming on top of the hourly rate and the one-time fee for travel time, gas and insurance) are:
a) made aware to the customer at the time of booking the move
b) are again reconfirmed by the foreman of the moving crew before the job is even started and listed in the contract.

The company, at its full discretion, may offer extra services i.e. wardrobe boxes, furniture shrink wrapping, floor runners at no cost to stimulate the sale however, if charges are to be applied, these are made aware to the customer up front when booking the move!

As a company we understand and value the impression our employees are having on our customers, the image left by the moving crew is precious and looked after. I can hardly believe our movers deliberately wasted your time and even harder can believe the dispatch, when notified, did not take action. I therefore urge you to contact me directly and assist in this matter further investigation.
