With reno coming to an end, we were eager to get rid of the dust that has accumulated and resettled through the vents even after wiping things down - clearly we needed to clean our ducts. Our GC and neighbours [recent reno] didn't have recommendations. I searched HomeStars for suppliers and noticed Green & Spotless reviews were very high [among others]. When we were ready to order the service, I posted on HomeStars and called G&S directly. Devon made it easy: He was quick to respond. He walked me through the process. He scheduled me in for that week despite his seemingly full calendar. Knowing my urgency he was even able to move up the appointment to the next day due to a flood cancellation. He confidently walked me through what was to be done. He and Alec were very efficient with their time - couple hours /1200 Sq Ft. At the end, he showed me the finished work - before and after. And, he left me with instructions for regular maintenance. The test - the air definitely feels clean. Maybe I should wait a week to do the finger test and really have a sense . It does feel good to be starting with a cleaned out furnace in our newly reno'd home.

We were assigned the project management expertise of Nest Contracting through our contract with Oriel Renovations. Matt Steele, head of Nest, has been great at coordinating trades and is a hands on carpenter to boot for various components of the renovation. He has built confidence in us to let him run the show and keeps up informed along the way. His keen eye for design is an added touch in making or changing decisions along the way as things come to life. While the renovation isn't yet complete, I would definitely recommend Nest.

Jacob and his crew took over a renovation that stalled in September 2018 [we terminated previous GC due to incompetence and stre-t-ch-ed time line] and have quickly brought the project back on track. It's obvious that Oriel has a dedicated and cohesive team of professionals who know their stuff - special shout out to Matt who has been our on-site HomeStar. I expect there was some trepidation on their end to take over a reno-in-progress but they embraced the challenge with confidence and care. It has been such a delight to work collaboratively and see the progress unfold over the past 8 weeks AND with a bright light at the end of the tunnel. It's too soon to add photos but I would gladly share when done. Not only would I recommend to friends, I would work with them again.
