I was in great need of eaves trough cleaning and repairs. One of the downspouts had even been taken off because it was so full and useless. I called and emailed many of the companies listed here on HomeStars. Gary Pulaj and his team at Century Aluminum were the only reliable people I found. They were honest about how busy they were, but still came to give me an estimate, and then booked the repairs for the soonest date they had. As it turned out, the winter descended faster and they were not able to do the work before that happened. I didn't need to track them down - Gary kept in touch and as soon as the snow and ice had cleared, he called to schedule the work. It was done promptly. I especially appreciate Gary asking me to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction before I paid the bill. That is rare in business these days, and demonstrated his work ethic and pride in what they do. There was one problem area that needed further work, and as soon as I mentioned it the work was scheduled and completed. I highly recommend Century Aluminum for the quality of their work, their communication, and ethics. I am very appreciative, and happily recommend them to everyone I know.

I have a solarium that was added to my home about 18 years ago. For the past several years we have had leaks. Each time, the leaks were covered with caulking. That never fixed the problem. Finally I discovered Andy Lansdown and his company Solarium Repairs. Andy came to assess the situation, gave me an estimate for the repairs, explained them fully to me, and began the work. From the moment I met him, I felt at ease. Andy is warm and friendly, but especially knowledgable and instills confidence from the start. He is professional in his work. He also wanted to make sure that everything was repaired and came back more than once just to make sure. As it turns out, the work was delayed because of the ice and snow all this past winter, but Andy continued to keep in touch and was here as soon as the roof was dry. I also want to mention that there were other problems here, with water damage caused by improper insulation under my windows (nothing to do with the solarium). Andy was helpful and supportive, introduced me to James Keegan (of GreenEdge Insulation) who did the insulation for me. Throughout all of this, Andy was kind and helpful. He did much more than what was expected, and much more than what was paid for. None of the extra visits and none of the advice added to the initial cost estimate, for those of you wondering about that. I can't thank him enough - I also can't give him a high enough recommendation! If you need someone to repair a solarium or sunroom, don't go to anyone else. Call Andy Lansdown immediately. There had been no insulation installed in the walls when I had windows replaced several years ago. This led to considerable damage to the walls from moisture. GreenEdge Spray Foam Insulation company came quickly, explained the procedure, advised me clearly and did an incredible job. James was fair, friendly, helpful. He took time to explain the entire situation, and the procedure. He also made time in his schedule to do the work as soon as possible. Now there is such a difference in the two rooms that were affected by not having any insulation: the temperature is evenly controlled, and there is no evidence of any moisture getting into the walls. Even when there was a terrible rainstorm, and melting ice, there was no issue in the rooms. I highly recommend James Keegan and his company to anyone in need of proper insulation.
