We have been so impressed with the suite of services Kawartha Clean Air offers. Over the years they have installed a new furnace, replaced a hot water tank, cleaned our ductwork and sold us a gas barbeque. With such a sterling record of services, we don't need to look elsewhere for our gas-fired needs.
When my gas oven failed to fire up I knew who to call. Wayne Dean has always been quick to respond, efficient in finding the problem and equipped to fix it quickly. His background in the appliance industry ensures he knows what he's doing and assures me that he will get it right the first time. I have relied on his expertise several times, always with the same satisfying results.
Out with the old, in with the new!
We had wanted to replace our old chandeliers for years and finally found a pair that fit our needs. Installing the new ones on a beam 20 feet above floor level called for professional attention. We certainly found the right people when we called Envirotech. The installers arrived right on time, built the scaffolding and got right to work. After removing the old fixtures they built the new ones, installed them and checked for our satisfaction. We are so pleased with their work ethic and the final result, knowing the work was done carefully and to code.

Fireplace feature wall is amazing
Our old fireplace looked dated and needed a major uplift. I chatted with Built In Durham over Facebook to get some improvement ideas. Jim Stewart came to the house with several suggestions and lots of advice. The final result is amazing; exactly as we had planned. He uses a computer modeling tool to prototype the plan to ensure that the final details match our requirements. While they were here, Jim and his colleague Steve treated our home as if it were their own. Cover sheets down every day, swept clean every evening. Finley replaced our roof in December 2017 quickly and efficiently. When the wind storm hit in the spring, we noticed a few shingles had flown off. We reported the damage to Finley who arrived the next day, full of apologies and quickly replaced the damaged area. Fast, no-excuses response makes them a 10 in our books!

From the estimate to the final cleanup, the professionalism of Finley Roofing is top notch. The crew arrived on time, worked steadily but with care and concern for our garden, and managed to complete a full "remove and replace" in less than 3 days. Wayne goes beyond just "repair"
Wayne came to assess the problem with my gas oven. He quickly determined I needed a new igniter and installed one. Before he left, he checked my upper oven and showed me that its igniter was starting to fail. By catching this problem early, he saved me another service call. He also noted that the handle on my oven door was loose. He took the door apart, tightened the handle and gave me a chance to clean the inner glass ... at no charge! Service like this guarantees he is only one I'd call for future service!
Not the most pleasant task you can ask a person to do, but Mike Clark does his work with a smile. Quick, efficient and reasonably priced. He will locate the tank for you, if you are unable to find it!
Our Ashwood floors were worn, stained and scratched when we purchased our house. Higgins came in while we were on vacation, so weren't at all inconvenienced by their workers. When we arrived home, we thought they had laid a brand new floor. The result was stunning! They had taped all the baseboards, sanded and filled the cracks, and laid down three layers of urethane to seal in the beauty. We are SO pleased with their work.
After the spring 2013 ice storm, many branches and one large tree crashed down on our property. Arboristic Tree Care spent half a day removing the broken limbs and inspecting each tree for additional damage. They were clearly capable, very careful and went beyond simply carting away the debris. We will certainly recommend Kevin and his crew.
Freezing Freezer, warm cabinet! Peterborough Appliances quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the defective electronics, and defrosted the freezer. That's what I call Customer Service. We later went to their showroom and bought a second fridge for the pantry.
