I have Clera windows installed in my house from over 20 years. Some of the plastic latches had cracked over time. Contacted customer service and Rita was incredibly patient and accommodating to help me determine what I needed, and then arranging that the replacement parts be sent to me at no charge. Great customer service!

I used Goldwood stairs over 8 years ago for my main floor staircase and was so pleased with the work that when I decided to finish my basement stairs I didn't hesitate to call them again. I had carpeted the old staircase and was looking to retread it with a colour to match my current ground floor wood and basement floor laminate. Worked with Marki to decide on the details and pick the stain colour etc. I liked how the quote used the same estimating approach as before, and while the costs are higher than from many years ago, I found the price still reasonable and I knew what to expect with each line item called out. The team of 3 were prompt and efficient and I was left with a beautiful staircase and matching handrail exactly as I'd asked. Lin and his team finished the work in approx. 4 hours, cleaned up everything and my house was back to normal in less than a day. Marki, Lin and team were excellent to work with and produced excellent results. I highly recommend them.

When I began planning my master bathroom renovation which included a 60' x 36" shower alcove, I specifically wanted a roller door not a swing door (I'm not a fan of how the water runs off onto the floor with an outward opening swing door) I was able to find numerous framed door options but struggled to find a contractor that was comfortable with installing it. That was when I came across Doors and More that offered a custom frameless roller door. Frank, the owner gave me a very clear explanation of the process, talked to his experience with installing this door style, and gave me a quote that was competitive with the framed option I was looking at (before the installation costs). I was also able to see and try the actual door at a plumbing retailer. The process of scheduling the measurement for the door, the actual measurement, and then the installation was all done very professionally. The process took under 2 weeks from initial scheduling. The quality of the door and it's roller mechanism is great - the door slides very smoothly and looks so much classier than a framed version would ever have. I'm very pleased that I chose this company.

I found this company on HomeStars and was impressed with the consistency of the reviews and pictures of work done. The quote fell in line with other comparative quotes. I was also pleased with the owner, Natanael's attention to detail with the quote and contract wording, and felt satisfied that there was a very clear understanding of what we wanted and could expect, and also that we could expect the work to start on the scheduled agreed date and be completed within 15-16 days. A few days prior to the work, Natanael also walked through the specifications carefully with his team, which involved 2 main guys and 1 foreman. (to be respectful to them, I've chosen not to name them). Throughout the actual renovation, the team always arrived on time every day, and were courteous and respectful of my property. The foreman was only present some of the time. The initial stages all went well, demolition, plumbing and electrical, drywall; even the plaster work and painting were done well. However, when we got towards the finishing stages is when I became really disappointed. The key element being the lack of quality of the tile work and from my perspective for a bathroom, the tile work is crucial. One wall edge is not plumb (noticeable since you can see this in contrast to the custom shower door that had to be perfectly plumb), the floor tiles at the door edge are not level, and my main feature shower wall has waves in the alignment. I had them redo the worst sections to try to correct things, but the first attempt to correct them involved them trying to mortar and tile the grout at the same time! The next attempt done mostly by the foreman fixed the worst of the tiles, but short of starting the tilework from scratch the quirks still show. I'm also still trying to clean out the messy grout/mortar/caulking marks that is still covering the reworked sections. As we got close to the finishing stage, I reached out to Natanael to come and see the job since I wanted him to see the tile quality. He told me he was too busy to come out, thought I was pleased with everything, thanked me for my business and asked me to post a review. When I indicated that I had concerns with the tile quality, his response was that it was up to the foreman to sort things out. Based on the other reviews I've read, I can't tell if I just got unlucky with the crew, or that my job was so small that it was an in-betweener and the crew were just rushing things at the end because over the last 4-5 days of the job they kept saying that they were pushing to finish so that they could start the next job. I want to believe that this was not the norm for them. While most of the work was actually done right, it was the main visuals that were not and that's what I see every time I use this room. Some other items that were fixed after I pointed them out, but I feel I should include: removing silicone caulking they put around the toilet base, and removing painters tape around the electric fitting after replacing the light fitting, neither of which should have been done in the first place.

Company Response

Hi Lana: Our company appreciates every customer feedback as they help us to improve our service, and we learn with every client and every project. Honestly with your project we consider we did our best for your satisfaction, we went back every time you requested it after completion (more than one time) and in my opinion we did a lot to meet your expectations. I agree with you, tiles work is crucial in bathrooms and the finishing quality depends on some factors: tiles quality, installation quality and design. On your project we consider the quality of the tiles you provided were not the best, and also it was an important factor: the design. We agreed a design considering the imperfections of your walls and also the mosaic tiles you picked (which btw are so hard to work with), the foreman explained to you about the design; and later you decided to change that design without any consultation, only telling to the installer during the installation. Our mistake: installer proceeded with your changes, results: no good quality finishing, customer no satisfied. But, again, we did our best to solve the issues and for your satisfaction.
I wish to take care of every customer and every project myself but unfortunately it is not possible for me, I work more than 12 hours every day, and I also have a home and a family, P & P Renovations is not only me, is a team of hardworking and professional people. All the best, Natanael and his crew.

I was initially impressed with the reviews I read on HomeStars and the quote (cost and duration of work) I received from Marki in comparison to the other quotes I received. However, it was when I went to see another job in progress that I felt more certain about having them do the work. Our work involved replacing the current carpeted staircase with a new wooden staircase, new posts and pickets and refinished handrail; for the flooring the work was to remove existing carpet on upstairs floor, screw in all the floorboards, replace all with new hardwood, and install new baseboard and quarter round. The staircase crew of 3 started and completed the work on day 1, and then the flooring crew of 4 did their part and completed everything on day 2 (including helping to move my furniture and putting it all back in place at the end.) I was most impressed with the quality and attention to detail of the work, for both the staircase and the flooring, even including the caulking work on the baseboard, and the neat cutouts for the vent registers. The crew were efficient and focused, and respectful of my property, and cleaned up everything at the end of the job. I've done many different projects for my home, and this is the best quality of work I've ever seen. Thanks to Marki and Lim, and their team.
