A pump installed 25+ years ago in a Jacuzzi bathtub no longer worked. I called Ian who suggested I try a few options before he had a look at it. He suggested removing the housing and turning the motor by hand which it did easily. He then suggested wiring it to a plug and starting it up. It purred! I think a lead may have come loose so I didn't have to have it overhauled or replaced. Other repair people may not have been so forthcoming with suggestions and I saved time and money. Thank you Ian. I will recommend you to anyone needing repairs.

A main gas line leak had been flagged at our home. Sean and his partner checked the main line and all gas appliances. They worked within their three hour call and found an issue that hadn't been flagged. They also offered valuable advice regarding our furnace and our upcoming renovation. They were prompt, professional, friendly and knowledgeable I would definitely call them again.

GE Cafe series double oven less than 3 years old needed a new igniter in the lower oven. Several companies I called didn't service the downtown Toronto area but they recommended Modern Appliance. Peter called me back after I left a message. I explained the issue and Peter diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. He said it would take a week and we made an appointment then to do the repair. He was on time and did the repair quickly and efficiently. He also explained every step of the process to me and was able to indicate why the igniter had gone so early in it's supposed ten year life. George was quick with a response to my email asking for a cost estimate and his availability to do the work once the range had been delivered. On the day, George let me know when he'd be there and he was promptly on time. I had a feeling he would have to update some of the old connection which he did while he explained his work every step of the way. Once the gas line work was done, he then leveled the range and explained some of its features. A thorough job, expert work and reasonably priced. All done in about 45 minutes. At one point, while laying on the floor adjusting the range feet, our dog decided to stand on his back to investigate the work. George laughed it off as an unexpected back massage! I have some other gas line work to be done and I will be calling George when the time comes.
