We had one of those old work horse, top loading washers and we loved it. Suddenly it started making a metallic screeching sound and called Appliance Resurrection. Karl texted when he could stop by, he texted when he was on his way (amazing) and really listened to what happened. He brought his own indoor shoes and automatically changed into them-he even brought a telescoping stool to get at eye level with the unit, to better see and hear the noise. He came up with a Hail Mary idea of trying some grease that would withstand high temperatures and sourced that himself & brought that back for a try. Didnt work, then he turned the unit on and offboom it was the brake that was dying and only showed its colours when he tried that. But Because Karl listened, diagnosed a possible solution, sourced and tried that, tried to find the old parts and even he couldnt get them-we were confident we had to get a new unit. Because weve never bought a new condo type unit before, we even hired Karl to come back out and reassure us that the dryer wasnt relying on the weight of the washer to stand (thankfully it wasnt-but in the US sometimes they do) and he offered some advice on which new brands and sizes would work. Having a broken large appliance is a pain-its great to now have Karl to call on to have his reliable expertise to help us through it! Thanks Karl!

Hi Dean. Thank You so much for your review and kind words. You were a pleasure to deal with.

Jeff has helped us fix up a 1920s home before selling and he's now helped us settle into 2 condos. It's the little things like putting together and installing a new medicine cabinet and hanging two clothes racks--that when done with the precision and thoughtfulness that Jeff brings--make a house a home. Can't recommend enough.

Glad to help in some small way to make your house a home. It's amazing how a few small things installed/fixed make a big difference.

Always a pleasure to work with you.

I'm a tenant in a condo where the unit upstairs leaked (a lot) due to a busted Kitec pipe. There were fallen patches and stains the size of two large couches. The 3-man team from Mr. Stucco were on time, expedient, obviously talented and very respectful of our furniture/floor. Can't recommend them enough. I'm looking to buy a condo and I'm taking their name in my list of reliable contractors myself.

WORST! Set to deliver on a Saturday, purchased online, selected 7am-1pm delivery. Called Friday night, "Just confirming"--yes, was told there are 23 deliveries, you're the 21st between 7pm and 9pm, "You'll get a call 1 hr before delivery." Alright--not our time, but OK. Waited all day, called at 8:30pm--"You're on truck 106" asked to speak w/ manager, he tells us the order has been cancelled due to "fraud". I used my US credit card to pay for it and had it shipped to Toronto--not unusual, I'd think and their online form accepted it. Mind you, the order was allegedly cancelled 2 days before it was charged (fully, gone-through, A-OK charged) to my VISA. No email, call or any confirmation of cancellation. When we just received the refund just today? They refunded purchase price & tax, but not the delivery charge. ::sigh:: More battles--and the customer service reps were very rude, "Are you through speaking yet?" One said to me as I tried to calmly lay out what had happened to date so he could help me. STAY AWAY!

The installer fellow (name?) was detailed and had a great eye for style--we thought we wanted hardwood right up to the front door, he suggested tile for slushy boots--he was right. He also suggested removing the ugly mirrored doors & track in the bedroom to make the hardwood flow to the back of the closet--again he was right. Amazing skill, can't recommend enough.

Amazing--they not only accurately labeled the new panel and connection to the house, but they also showed us where there was old knob-and-tube wiring--cut, but still there, and reassured us that the entire house was copper wiring. Efficient, minimal encroaching on our neighbours, and educational for us. A rare company with skill and integrity. They've been out to replace several light fixtures afterwards--just great.
