Dec 19, 2013--Update to our concern--Jason contacted us regarding how our situation was handled. He offered to pay for the second service call, which we accepted. We are very happy with the outcome.
I chose this company based on the very positive reviews. I have had a lot of luck with homestars before. I needed the shower head and the tub/shower faucet replaced. Originally, I had to phone twice in order to get a callback. When they did call back an appointment was arranged. The plumber came on time and was very pleasant and professional. He replaced the shower head but said that the faucet could not be replaced. Which is an odd thing to say as the year before, I had Pete the Plumber come in and fix the faucet. He had said at that time that this would be a temporary fix and the faucet would need to be replaced at some point. I called A Better Way Plumbing back twice. The first time I left a message and the second time I spoke with Jason. He said he would come out and have a look then determine what needs to be done. I have not heard back and it has been 3 weeks. So in the meantime, Pete the Plumber has come back and replaced the faucet. The reason I gave them 2 stars is because the work they did was done well but there the customer service ended. Maybe our job was too small for them, in which case they should have said something at the start. Unfortunately we had to pay for 2 different services calls when it should have only been one.
