I have used KNT for various things over the years and recommended them to many friends. Their work is extremely good. They installed six lights and removed old track lighting after protecting surrounding area very carefully. Ken did the work quickly using the most modern equipment. After completion they cleaned thoroughly and not a speck of dust remained. They are the best in every way. I have recommended them for several knob and tube replacements as well and my friends rave about their work. Try them, you won't be sorry!

We read the reviews on this company and decided to ask them to quote on the replacement of 3 large windows, each about 8 ft by 3 ft. We are very happy with the result. Tony and his team came very promptly and gave us a quote that we were very happy with. Work proceeded on the day and time previously arranged. After removing the windows some rot was discovered below the lower sill and Tony removed the sill and replaced it with a very strong hardwood sill which he also covered with an aluminum cover to prevent any further dampness. He is very skilled at carpentry and window replacement. He and his team are hardworking and very professional. Following completion of the job we asked him if he would consider doing some aluminum siding work around a large skylight on the third floor. He contacted me very quickly the following week and came and did the siding job with the same expertise and friendliness. I would recommend Tony very highly for any work you are considering. We used A One when looking for an GE Induction Range a few years and again last year for a Washer Dryer Set. The induction range was not available anywhere except a warehouse in North Bay. A One got the range within two days and it has been perfect. We also got a washer dry set which has been perfect as well. Service was very good both in the store and when appliances were set up in home. We saved about 700.00 on the stove and 250.00 on the washer dryer set. I wouldn't go anywhere else before checking out A One. Proprietor has always been very business like and professional.

We developed a leak following an extremely cold winter and after reading home star reviews called Luc's Roofers. The roof is a difficult one as the house is an historic Victorian with a very steep pitch on a narrow Cabbagetown lot with a large flat roof as well. Luc came and assessed the house carefully, showed us other properties in our neighbourhood which he had done and explained the types of shingles which would be suitable to maintain the character of the building. He was thorough in his estimates and careful in his description of what would be involved. The job began fairly close on schedule with a slight delay due to a rainy week and Ben and his team of three helpers did a great job in every way: Good protection of property, gardens and neighbours, very careful work on both shingled and flat roof, fastidious cleanup every day and professional workmanship through the whole job. After falling into the abyss that is waiting for mattress buyers-confusing claims by manufacturers, misleading information from sales people, lack of good consumer information, we were exhausted with looking for a good quality king size mattress that provided enough space for us to sleep comfortably and didn't cost the earth. Fortunately we went to Homestars and found Andy at Ton Mattress. From the very first he reversed all the problems we had in the previous weeks of looking at mattresses. He explained the process of making mattresses and took us into his factory to see the results, then showed us the differences between the different types: memory foam, pure latex and coil with foam top. After spending nearly two hours with us we finally settled on a coil with memory foam cushion. The mattress was delivered last week and has been perfect for our needs. We hired Good Looking Homes for a difficult project and were very happy with the result. We required a fence with a motorized gate across the back of our property. We live downtown so security was a concern; the gate is at the rear of a Japanese garden so the gate needed to fit into the view aesthetically; we wanted the gate to be motorized for ease of access. The property is 23 feet across and the gate allows an eleven foot entry width. Liam and Stu and the crew worked very hard to meet all of these difficult requirements with good humor, ingenuity and great skill to accomplish a gate that we are very pleased with. We recommend them absolutely to anyone requiring fence or gate work and especially for Cabbagetowners who often have to park through difficult lane entryways and need specialized solutions. We bought an induction stove without realizing that we needed to upgrade our electrical service and were without a stove. After reading Hotwire Reviews we decided to call for help. Oris responded immediately and found a way to cook up the stove temporarily until a date could be set with hydro to upgrade panel. Oris and his team responded to all emails promptly, courteously and with all information required. On the appointed day he arrived with his team and worked steadily until the job was completed. He was clear about the equipment he was using and fixed several other small things he noticed while he was here.(A loose light and grounded the grounded the gas water properly. We really liked Oris and his company and we would call him immediately for any other electrical problems. We would recommend him without any reservations to anyone needing electrical solutions.

We moved into a downtown home with a central vac system that had been installed several years earlier. The previous owner had cats and the year after we moved in we had blockage. We called Javid and he came and painstaking removed all the blockage of fur etc. and explained how to avoid future problems. Several years later we needed the old system replaced but wanted the new one to hook up with our existing ducts etc. Javid was marvellous. He takes the time to find solutions and always looks for a cost effective answer to your problems. I have recommended him to my daughter and daughter in law and both were very pleased with his thoughtful service and creative solutions.
