We are very happy with another fine job from A&A Masonry. Several years ago A&A did a superb job of interior waterproofing in our basement. This time we needed repairs to the exterior where water was coming in through a breach at the point where our old foundation meets a newer extension - which had never been waterproofed by the builder. Alex and his crew dug down to the footings (by hand!) and worked their magic in a very cramped spot between ours and our neighbour's house, repairing some 'impressive' cracks and adding new state-of-the art waterproofing membranes and drainage tiles. Thanks again to all the team at A&A.

Our gas fireplace hadn't worked properly for years and we were expecting a hefty bill to replace it entirely, but Imran came to our rescue and thoroughly cleaned and tuned the fireplace, and now it looks and works like new! He also installed a programmable remote so we can control the fire at the push of a button. I wish we had found Imran years ago! He is a very courteous, responsible professional, and we highly recommend his services.

We recently had the great pleasure of working with Dominic and the team at A&A Masonry on the interior waterproofing of our finished basement office. We had had a permanent damp area in one corner for 13 years, and several costly attempts to waterproof the exterior foundation had not solved the problem. A&A Masonry brought their expertise and experience to bear, and for a surprisingly affordable cost, waterproofed our basement from the inside. This involved opening a trench along the walls to install a drainage system under the footing of our house, connecting that to the whole house drainage system, installing a delta membrane along the walls and down under the footing, backfilling the trench with crushed stone and then pouring and finishing the concrete floor. Dom and the team were wonderful to work with, knowledgeable and friendly, courteous and punctual. Their work was highly professional, and they left the basement spotless. A much appreciated feature of their contract was no requirement for a deposit, and payment on completion of the job only when we were completely satisfied. Every house with a basement in flood-prone Toronto should be waterproofed in this manner, and property insurers should take note. Our basement is now warm and dry, with no mould or damp smell. Finally!! Thanks, Dom, and everyone at A&A Masonry. We highly recommend your services. The Assaad Family, Toronto

We recently had the great pleasure of working with Dan and his team on a two phase project involving removal of drywall and framing for an interior basement waterproofing job, and reinstallation of new drywall afterwards. Dan is a true gentleman and a master craftsman. His very competitive quote included all materials and labour to first remove the old water-damaged drywall, vapour barrier, insulation and framing; the careful removal of outlets and existing upper cabinetry; and the removal and disposal of all debris in preparation for the interior waterproofing process. Phase 2 included reframing the new walls and reinstalling outlets, new batt insulation (R-12), vapour barrier and water/mould resistant drywall; tape/finishing and sanding the drywall ready for primer; as well as reinstalling our existing cabinets and once again removing and disposing of all debris. Dan even generously helped us remove the old damaged wall-to-wall carpeting and took it away for us. As we were coordinating the work of two contractors on this job, Dan was very flexible with timing and helped us schedule the whole job seamlessly. We highly recommend Dan for this kind of work, and he would be our first call for any reno jobs we may have in future. Thanks again, Dan, for a job beautifully done. It was a pleasure working with you from start to finish. The Assaad Family, Toronto
