We had a toilet leaking water at the base, as well as a small leak in our basement plumbing. We put our service request through Homestars, and ended up hiring Josh from Halton Plumbing & Drains. Josh responded promptly to our request and we were able to book an appointment quickly. Josh arrived on time and was upfront about pricing and the estimated repair time. He explained the required repairs and had all the necessary tools and parts to complete both jobs. He cleaned up the work area completely when he was done. We're very happy with Josh's work and would hire him again.

The recent wind storm left us with a few raised and missing shingles. Alex responded promptly to our request and was able to come out and quickly fix the issue. Good communication throughout.

We hired Laszlo (the Floor-ist) to install hardwood flooring on the upper level of our home as well as to renovate our staircase. We met with several contractors but decided to go with the Floor-ist, as Laszlo is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable with this type of work. He offered several ideas on the best materials to use, as well as the best stores for find quality hardwood. He answered all of our questions, with very thoughtful and detailed answers. He arrived on time and ready to work each day and cleaned up fully after day of work. We relied on his expertise and he didn't disappoint. We are thrilled with the end result and are very happy we decided to go with the Floor-ist. We'd hire him again in a second!

I hired Kolawole to install an interior door in the existing door jamb. While the job took a little longer than anticipated, Kolawole showed great attention to detail in his work. I would hire him again.

We hired EnviroAir to perform duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning at our home. They were a very professional team that explained the process thoroughly. We had not had duct cleaning done at our house before, so they explained where they needed to drill holes in the duct work to perform the cleaning. They did a very thorough job and we were very happy with the service. The process did not create a mess as they covered all of the vents. I would recommend this company.

We used Arbor Tree Service to remove a fairly large Blue Spruce tree from the front of our house. From our first meeting with owner John T, we knew he was the man for the job. He was knowledgeable on the tree type and even said he would try to transplant the tree to another location. His quote was reasonable and he performed the service on the date promised. We are very happy with the result and would happily recommend this company.

We have used Peel Heating & Air Conditioning for maintenance on our furnace for several years now. They have always offered honest advice and have never tried to upsell us on un-needed services. As an example, a couple of years ago they mentioned that our furnace would likely need a $400 part...but told us not to fix it until it breaks because it may last for another 2 years. I like a company that is interested in developing an honest long-term relationship with its customers rather than trying to bilk them on each and every visit. Highly recommended.

I dealt with sales rep Paul, who helped provide me detailed product information and also answered all of my follow-up questions (via email) very quickly and with accurate info. There pricing was extremely competitive relative to other retailers and I ended up ordering the unit through Ultra. The product arrived within 3 days (as promised). Great sales process and we're extremely happy with the end product as well.

SCF did a complete renovation of our basement including framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, and separate laundry. The work was completed both on time and on budget. We found Scott very knowledgeable and are very happy with the end result. The renovation from start to finish took about 4 weeks. The overall cost was reasonable and Scott was responsive to our inquiries throughout the process.
